Oct. 5:- A year since Apple failed!
myjilson, there are 2 different things. One is respecting Steve Jobs personality. Well, remembering him for that is fine.
Second is praising/slashing the Apple product. Before comparing Apple’s past and present products, calling “A year since Apple failed” is like disrespecting their total engineering team. SJ may be famous but that doesn’t mean we are blind enough to ignore their Engineering team. All these blindness are due to the way we see products.
Apple products are not the result of single person’s ideas; we never know how many decisions of Steve Jobs went as failure attempts even in the prototype formation. And how many are lifted by Steve Jobs after their engineers presenting samples in usable form “by themselves”.
PS: Anyway, this thread progresses as usual
Steve Jobs was the modern day Thomas Edison.
I don’t get why you think so highly of him. There are people much more worthy of your respect, yet everyone seems to just notice Steve Jobs.
I guess people like well-marketed, not so revolutionary products with a huge markup. Hell, look at the iPhone 5’s release weekend sales.
EDIT : AGSoft put it very well.

I think you’ve said this in the spirit that Thomas Edison was one of the best “ideas thief” who ever existed, right?

Hi guys, myjilson opened this thread as a way of showing respect and remembering someone who he admired. Although no one is obligated to agree, I kindly ask everyone to be a bit more tolerant and refrain from trolling.
There is absolutely no point in bashing his point of view. Thanks for your understanding.

haha .. do you have an iPad? It’s great until the point you realize that it’s almost useless when you try to do serious stuff on it. Even on browsing it lacks a lot of features that it could have. And the lack of customization.. And the bugs .. oh boy, iOS6 has a lot of bugs
