Hello – I’m a new guy here.

Was wondering how AJ determines the price of a track?

I have seen 1, 5, 10, 13 and 17 dollars for the basic license.

What is their basis or criteria?

Thx

In the article “General Pricing Information” says:
On all Marketplaces except PhotoDune, files are priced during the review process to ensure that factors such as quality, complexity, potential demand and license type are consisently reflected in prices across the Marketplaces. If an author disagrees with the cost of purchase of an approved item, they may contact Support, who will then re-evaluate the item and adjust the pricing if necessary.

Nope, quality doesn’t influence the price. It’s only duration. ;)

And category! The $1 files are sounds. Sounds go from $1 to $5, and tracks go higher (up to $17, if I’m not mistaken…) – I’m talking about regular licenses of regular files, not packs.

I have seen various files of more than 2 minutes (e.g., 2 minutes 05 seconds, etc.) whose price was $ 13 instead of 17. I do not know why.

Because of the ending… Obviously some folks were adding unnecessary extensions to their tracks just to pass the duration-limit for higher price.

I had a file approved/priced at $13 that was just over 2:00. I just asked support about it, and it was fixed immediately.
