New items have been seeing longer front page exposure lately! ... like half a day or more.

Call me crazy but ever since the staff meetup in Kuala Lumpur, personally (and I’m not too proud to admit this…) I have had more soft rejections with advice to make my items better than before. What I think might be happening is that the AudioJungle review staff connected and talked about it and are being a little more strict on the items they let pass through. This raises the level of quality of items the site offers and gives new items more front page exposure. I’m all for it and my items are better because of it!

What do you think? Are you experiencing similar things?

Just wondering, Phil.

Phil I noticed and it has motivated me to make music for audiojungle again since the main category I write for was just bombarded with uploads.. My new track was on first page of corporate results for almost 2 days last week and it got a bunch of sales because of it. (and I hope because buyers liked it). Missed this weeks top seller list by one sale, Ughh.

I had tracks get momentum and then die out because it got pushed to the back pages to fast. That’s why I thought a new item top list was important. But if it stays like this it gives fair chance for new items to rise to the top if deserved.

Review approval times are way down so maybe the time of being on first page is just less uploads along with being more strict(hopefully). Maybe the nice weather around most of the world has people out of the studio. The overflow seemed to coincide with USA fall and winter.

Oh and your new track “Cry of the Orient” is great Phil. Nice production and vocals.

Yeah Phil, I too noticed that suddenly they’re a lot stricter… and cheers to that, my portfolio is getting too big anyway. Related to the exposure point, I’ve noticed the review line is more erratic than ever, I suspect it’s to keep a steady stream on releases so they see more sales!!

I appreciate raising the “quality” level :) Hopefully the “flood” from some of the authors will stop a bit by now :))

Good day to everyone.

I haven’t noticed it yet, but I always hope to hear a few words about my music … I don’t know what about main page exposure, my average is 12 hours, but yesterday was about 11, not bad especially that yesterday was Monday :) . Anyway, I thinks it’s good news despite the fact that the review time may be longer ;)

It has passed 2 months since my last upload, so I couldn’t noticed it.. But if it is as you say, Phil, I’m more than happy if the quality raises up, together with exposure!

This is very good thing because some authors just upload to much and stop thinking about quality. And if the quality raises, buyers will start to look more in the categories folder in stead of going directly to the top charts.

I’ve noticed it as well. I think it’s great, quality over quantity is the way it should be. It gives everyone a fair shot to get noticed!

Haven’t noticed as of late but I’m glad they are upping the game if that’s what’s happening. Cheers!
