I’m looking at buying C4D . I would like to know if the Maxon Cinema 4D Prime package has enough features to use the VideoHive C4D templates.
Or, do you need tools such as Mograph that only seem available in more expensive packages: C4D Broadcast, Visualize, and Studio.
Thanks

it totally depends on which project you are talking about.
Go for Broadcast version, cause the Prime is quite poor, it has no GI, no DOF , no motion blur etc.
you can see comparison here

Does the sidebar for each project file’s webpage list whether Cinema4D plugins are needed? I see it usually lists whether After Effects plugins are needed, but nothing for C4D .
Thanks for the comparision, BatVfx. I was hoping I could save some money and get by with Prime, but maybe the extra investment in Broadcast would be worth it.

I would advise to go for at least broadcast.
There’s nothing in the sidebar yet about modules for C4D … and plugins is still a long way off. The section is still young over here on VH.
Personally, my C4D projects I try to make them work with prime… otherwise, I’ll say so in the description.
Two of the current ones work better with Mograph, but you can get by with prime.
