It would be great if Envato will add a tab to each marketplace item that will display the username of the people that bought the item.
Please no YOU -KNOW-WHO item distribution discussion in this thread.
Thank you!

Envato has said several times that it is against their buyers privacy. So I think that there isn’t going to be such an implementation.

Hi Kris, I don’t think the reason is sufficient enough because you can still view the buyer’s profile/items purchased when he/she sent you an email through your profile.
This suggestion/request comes in handy when tackling/solving different issues directly with the buyer. This request is all we need.

Hello Charles,
The bold text is the case. Only when the buyer contacts you first, then and only then you can see what he/she has purchased.

It would be great for offering support, informing the buyers of new updates, designs, etc. etc.
How is it against buyer privacy? If you sell a car, don’t you want to who your customer is? Also, the information doesn’t have to be public, just linked to the author.

I don’t think so. Some authors would start spamming buyers with new items and new updates. And I don’t see the need of knowing who bought my items.

Stylius, this suggestion has absolutely nothing to do with spamming. This highly needed ‘TAB’ request comes in handy for many positive things “like what Sherman said,” and also for tackling many uprising issues directly with the buyer.
