Hi, I just want to add my two cents…

I have never seen a decrease in my sales caused by a bundle. Boundless overall are not always fair in my opinion, many people may feel left behind because there are so many other are products that it is hard to get everyone included, but I guess this is how it should be.

Another thing I would like to talk about is home page exposure. Many products just stay there few hours (I got lucky but many of us aren’t) so I think we should figure out how to fix it. The home page exposure is very important for new products, and sometimes great items just go unnoticed.

Actually, there have been popping several ideas on how to fix this, and the best one was proposed by digitalscience a month or so ago and by VF a few days ago.

The aspect you mentioned about the home page exposure can be traced back to the irregular review process. Sometimes (especially on the weekend) there are phases of 12 hours or more without any new items.
On some other days in contrast, it might happen that a new item is less than 1 hour on the home page because many items are reviewed in a too short time.

I think envato need more reviewers who can distribute the work more consistenly.
It might also be helpfull to have reviewers from different timezones in the team to prevent reviewers from working at night.

It’s more due to the huge increase in items being submitted / accepted. Someone posted a graph fairly recently, the increase is staggering from a year or so ago.

The crux of the problem is, 50+ sales needed to get in top seller list (for the week), but items currently get 2 days tops front page exposure. (items submitted a year ago still on the top seller list had more than double the homepage time I think). That makes it incredibly difficult to get on the top seller list and get more exposure. It also means the marketplace will naturally end up with older and more stale items getting more exposure because it is so hard for new items to get there.

I don’t so much think this is a review quality issue, more a homepage design issue. It worked perfectly when new items got a weeks exposure (this wasn’t actually so long ago), as this was enough to properly determine if an item deserved to be on the top seller list.

A ‘popular new items’ list might help.. or just paginate (add multiple pages to) the current popular items list (better and easier imo).

Most important issue with the marketplace atm for me by far tho.

one thing that would be good to have is a “FEATURE UPDATE PROGRESS ” blog, where the devs here post things that are scheduled for implementation, progress on current features, and more.
