Envato Probably know about this new marketplace and what are they doing? Adding an upload button and 2 bundles in a month…

not to argue with the points above but no review means crappy items uploaded by overly self confident designers. anyway I will check this for myself if you send me the link.

I would suggest a moderator to lock this thread. Exactly the current bundle is a well thought out one with least possible damage for authors (although previous ones aren’t that much safe). But unfortunately bad karma on other departments making this thread to continue unnecessarily.

why locking? It is quite interesting to read the different opinions, isn’t it?

No one has posted a single link to any competitor sites. Some of us are only talking about it, so whats wrong with that?

This is the best way to have a market full of rubbish and a complete price’s anarchy.
Envato is a great place to work because of these two points.

I think prices are too low for certain items but we have a good share because of them (I’m not talking about extended licenses).

Closing the off topic and returning IT:

Personally I’ve noticed a very nice increase of my sales in the last two weeks. However in the last 2 days, also if I’m the featured author of the week on Codecanyon I’m not experiencing a sales increase, rather they are less than the last week. I’ve not a yearly experience here, but I guess is because of the new bundle (featured the same week of a bundle..yeah, very unlucky).

I don’t know if this relationship is correct or not and I don’t want to complain about that, but I completely agree with Crozer. There are so many improvements that could be done instead of launching new bundles each month.

Auto-approval is the first key to failure, you’ll see self-claimed expert designers adding all kind of crap items. No thanks, I’ll still stick with Envato.

Is true that this thread had somewhat lost the focus but I don’t see why it should be locked. Anyway I’ve got no link from no one so till I see with my eyes those hypothetical envato competitors remain just talks.

anyway, when one speaks about a potential competitor should not forget that envato marketplace have many different types of files. So, some random website that sell only wordpress themes doesn’t qualify to the title of competitor.

I also already know some other places but still: 1. They don’t have a different approach – instead it seems they copy envato and just try to make some minor things better 2. Differences are mostly in rates, exclusivity and some other features.
