18 pages in and still not a single decent staff reply. It’s almost like nobody in Envato gives a damn about us. Developers of Envato please chip in!
It’s not just this thread, other threads too on many of the marketplaces. There is very little dialog with the community at the moment.

Funny. I count several Staff replies in this thread. I guess none of them are decent?
EDIT : I see you’re talking about Marketplace updates, which is not what this thread is about.

Stop berating staff. We got our answers.
Daily and weekly bundles: won’t be happening
Monthly bundles: not out of the question
Repeat author selection: no comment
Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.

Also, they’ve got a new staff guy looking at the bundle process, and how authors are chosen.
I’d say something 40-50% off everything for a day(or 2) would help everyone.Buyers spend would be alot more as people would buy projects they might have been on the fence about. Not a regular thing but say twice a year.Feb and November would be ideal because it helps authors get started for the year and nov would help cover xmas.
Prob never happen but this approach is far more likely to help alot more authors than a bundle and I’d be confident sales would go through the roof.
I haven’t read every page so I have no idea if it’s been mentioned.

Instead of bundles I think envato should discount its % from each theme or file in the market, so buyers can buy what they want for less… and we would be all happy (and I’m saying this also if I’ve been into the first bundle of envato). Cheers
+1 personally I stopped buying bundles because frankly the content isn’t as good as a couple years ago, in bundles… agree it’s a distraction and takes away author’s sales, I’d stop bundles except once every 5 or 6 months.. and then make them outstanding, like they used to be, back in 2010

I just re-read the post about the bundle here http://notes.envato.com/bundles/just-four-more-sleeps-till-the-bundle/This bundle is packed with more than $500 worth of seasonal design items from ThemeForest, GraphicRiver, PhotoDune, ActiveDen, and more for only $20.So it’s a SEASONAL bundle, with Christmas and winter stuff (seasonal design items). If that’s the case, I don’t really care about it. I’m not gonna make a Santa template :))
But I do hope the spring, summer and fall bundles will never exist.
No sales since the bundle, that means I was probably wrong.
I don’t get it how buyers get hypnotized like that by bundles :)) It’s like going to buy a car and on the way to the dealer changing your mind and buying 3 bikes and a skateboard because they’re on sale. And you totally forget about the car or where you were heading in the first place :)))
about 450 sales in about 24 hours – I wouldn’t say they are hypnotized at all. Maybe it was just a “bad” day for you?
Just read through most of the comments and i believe none of you’ll have understand the Bitfade’s real concern (which is also ours)
The sales are already REALLY bad the last few weeks/months and then they trow in two bundles in a month
. Instead of spending time on wrapping up a bundle package they should IMPROVE the usability of the search system on the site.
I personally don’t care if an author was in a bundle 1000 times, i only care about making money here and it’s getting very tough lately. So much new items are released so a homepage and category page rearrangement is pretty urgent matter.
And as for those people who are nagging about “you already earned 100k+”. Do you have any idea how much time is spend on selling themes here, creating them and supporting themes is a daily task.
