I think you should find a brand new author with 0 sales, buy a song, and then leave a really nice comment for them as encouragement to get them started off on the right foot!

That’s a fantastic idea Tim! I’m doing it just because it’s inspiring, and damn nice!
Agreed – the first sale is a HUGE encouragement. It certainly was for me, as I posted earlier this month, which was my first sale within a few weeks of joining AJ.

I think you should do what everyone said above…....and then you should buy one of mine. Why? 1st off, I want you to. 2nd I think you will find at least a few of my tracks to your liking. 3rd you will find that my music style is all over the place, but still comes from the heart. I would imagine your clients will like what they hear.
Anyway, thar’s just my thoughts on the matter. Do both. And maybe buy one song from everyone who posts as a surprise!

I agree, too! My wife and I had recently got laid off shortly before I got my first sale. I got my sale, then we danced. After almost a month of dried-up passion to do anything, ONE sale gave us hope. And we knew then and there that all would be okay. Somehow.
