So my answer is yes, design can be learned to some degree if you have enough time for that. On the other hand it’s not easy doing designing and programming all by yourself and achieve TF standards for both.

keep in mind Ben if you want to excel in design then you have to put coding aside.

You can’t beat a designer who’s focus is 100% on design when you spend 50% of your time coding and the rest designing.

I think, like Kriskorn said, that you can improve your skills or get the skills you don’t have to be a better designer it takes a lot of time and effort you need to put in though, nobody has born with it.

For some it will be much easier to get there and I think we refer to them by saying they are talented.

This gets worst and worst, (don’t get me wrong my friends, it’s a good thing that people are able to get they’re money or at least some of it for short time) but what I’m saying is all of these bailouts are just kicking the can down the road and further they kick it, worst it will get.

I’m amazed how little people know about how money and economy works. If you think EU or USA or all others will survive this mess? Ask your self how they are going to pay all this dept if they can’t even keep going with out paying anything now, how they going to pay the dept???
If you don’t know what the dept is? Just USA owns $17 TRILLION and we are not doing all that bad compare to other countries. If you don’t know how much money that is? $1 TRILLION = around 20,000 TONS of GOLD (I counted 1Oz = $1,600 amount is so big I’m not sure if my calculator know how to count ). Can anyone even comprehend this? How anyone can think that this can be fixed?

This is the biggest joke ever, protected you say? When they will be unable to pay all the withdrawals, from where will they guarantee your money?

If I read it right from the news, then the money will come from the deposits over 100K, so they will basically plan to cut the bigger deposits to pay out the guaranteed under 100K deposits.

Most of the themes in PSD category (having 20+ pages) have average price of 10$ and do not even make up to 10 sales. So, $10×10 = $100/2 = 50$. So, I think $1000 is extremely high price.

Very bad approach to estimate the value of the designs here.

Avada for example, which sold over 300 times in the past 9 months, made $ 1500/2 $750

A reasonable price for a decent design is somewhere between $ 1000 – $ 2000 if the designer decides to sell it for a fixed price.

This is a marketplace for the best website templates in the world, not an antique store. (Even though there are some exceptions: some designs look like they belong to the antique store, but everything for the buyers, right?)

I suggest that now you got the basic needs of the buyers, start working instead of going into lengthy discussions that doesn’t go anywhere.
