Move on to different projects or bigger / different libraries.. royalty free libs only get you so far..
Some RF’s don’t allow PRO music, but I can only think of a few in addition to AJ.
Because not allowing PRO music is completely idiotic. It’s a topic AJ and other libraries have shown they have no competency in handling. “Royalty Free” as a term for a music library is a farce in itself even.
This is a brilliant idea and something the marketplace absolutely needs!
AJ really needs a top 10 of each popular genre which is curated with new tracks each month. Right now, many great tracks get lost in the numbers game and never are heard or discovered. It’s a HUGE problem and an issue that ultimately stops me from bringing more tracks to this marketplace.
The current search function just gives you a mishmosh of tracks with 2 word titles or lots of sales, it sucks ass. And producers / clients would be much more inclined to wanting selections of the best tracks in the marketplace which are refreshed every so often instead of swimming through thousands of mediocre tracks to discover a decent one.
Im sure many producers want to find a more unique sound and don’t always want to buy the most popular items. However it’s too hard to find something good with low sales, if not impossible.
If AJ finds away to make sure great tracks don’t get lost then I would consider contributing more, till then, no thanks.
They tend to work quite nicely in Videohive projects! I got quite a few sales on my electronica stuff because of that. Especially the ambient and chill ones with a nice mellow beat. Definitely upload!
Ad rev is 100% industry standard. Cya
“But if Audiojungle wants to get more legitimate producers and editors, this should be addressed”
What if I told you legitimate producers and editors understand that this is commonplace is the industry along with PRO royalties.
$20 a track and people still complain. Unreal.
Jamie, you’re running Logic X if I’m not mistaken right? I’ve been thinking about upgrading to a Mac Pro for the film work I do too so your set up interests me too. One thing I have a REAL problem with at the moment in Logic X is the record-enable thing where one core spikes when it’s enabled. Just can’t seem to shake it. That combined with the fact my Mac Mini just whizzes off to space every time it’s a bit hot in Seville (which is most of the time, much like where you are I expect), so I wanted to save for a Mac Pro I best use the SSD’s, quietness, extra horsepower and not feel like my machine is about to melt every two seconds. Assuming I could use TB to HDMI adaptors for my HDMI displays correct?
Taco, have you heard of people running logic x along side vienna ensemble pro? VEP processing of VST instruments is much more efficient than within logic. I set up VEP to stream into logic on my same rig (slave rig is even better) and it works so so much better than having everything inside logic.
I think people have to come to grips with reality here. This is not a site where musicians are encouraged to explore their creativity and inner beauty. This is a site that sells COMMERCIAL music for advertising. Nothing more and nothing less. The faster you come to grips with that the better. (it took me some time to face this also)
If you want beautiful naming and creativity, produce your album and release it. I’m sure we all have that side, but that’s not what this site does.Simply the truth.
That is very true however it is still a huge issue for searches and the marketplace. It’s just ass backwards and shows great lack of care or comprehension by the devs. Do you think it’s helpful for a buyer to have to choose between 1000 tracks named “Inspiring” ?
It is actually comedically stupid and I bet that buyers wonder what the search engine is actually doing aside from considering the title.
