It makes me sick to my stomach. The value of music is constantly being belittled and overlooked.

Just curious, how can you say a comment like this while being a published author on www.AudioJungle.com? Don’t see anything wrong with the logic here? Almost as backwards as selling a license which has no implication of credit, then complaining when you don’t get credit.

I totally understand how you guys feel and completely agree with you, but this is not exactly the right marketplace to be taking part in if you have these opinions about your creative work and “fairness.”

Every single author on this website is contributing to the devaluation of music.

Maybe this is something you should think about before placing your tracks for sale here… Welcome to royalty free music licensing world…
Because of course, by placing my tracks in a royalty-free music library, I am encouraging people to steal my music and treat it as their own aren’t I?

There’s nothing in the AJ license that says you have to be credited. The client did absolutely nothing wrong. Games used licensed music all the time that never gets credited but the composer gets credited for the rest of the soundtrack. Then people assume the composer wrote all the music even the stuff that was licensed for the game. Unfortunately you should just get over it or sell music somewhere where you have better control over it… ;)

Some RF’s don’t allow PRO music, but I can only think of a few in addition to AJ.

Because not allowing PRO music is completely idiotic. It’s a topic AJ and other libraries have shown they have no competency in handling. “Royalty Free” as a term for a music library is a farce in itself even.

This is a brilliant idea and something the marketplace absolutely needs!

AJ really needs a top 10 of each popular genre which is curated with new tracks each month. Right now, many great tracks get lost in the numbers game and never are heard or discovered. It’s a HUGE problem and an issue that ultimately stops me from bringing more tracks to this marketplace.

The current search function just gives you a mishmosh of tracks with 2 word titles or lots of sales, it sucks ass. And producers / clients would be much more inclined to wanting selections of the best tracks in the marketplace which are refreshed every so often instead of swimming through thousands of mediocre tracks to discover a decent one.

Im sure many producers want to find a more unique sound and don’t always want to buy the most popular items. However it’s too hard to find something good with low sales, if not impossible.

If AJ finds away to make sure great tracks don’t get lost then I would consider contributing more, till then, no thanks.

They tend to work quite nicely in Videohive projects! I got quite a few sales on my electronica stuff because of that. Especially the ambient and chill ones with a nice mellow beat. Definitely upload!

“But if Audiojungle wants to get more legitimate producers and editors, this should be addressed”

What if I told you legitimate producers and editors understand that this is commonplace is the industry along with PRO royalties.

$20 a track and people still complain. Unreal.
