Back in the old days when I first started (didn’t even know about vsts) I used only the mouse. As time passed I started using midi keyboard (for certain songs) . Now I use a combination of all , recorded drums combined with midi sounds.
Anyways it just depends on the inspiration, there is no specific method of approaching.
Sounds exciting ! (Hopefully I`ll make it)
Man I loved it ! hahahahah
My story begins in the 2nd grade. Most of the days after school my mom used to leave me with my grandparents and she went to work. I was allowed to do anything but to go to one room. It took me about two weeks and finally I had the guts to go in the forbidden room and reveal the mystery . To my surprise the dark room (no windows) was full of musical instruments : accordions, trumpets, electric and acoustic guitars, violins etc. . It was my first experience when I stood face to face with so many instruments :))) ! I had a moment of awe . So I went straight to the guitar which had only 3 chords available, put it in my lap and stayed there for 3 – 4 hours and I was amazed by the sound. To make it short now , later I found out it was actually my dad’s guitar. Apparently he used to impress girls in camps in his youth. That’s all for now.
And here I am today…

Depending on the song , I sometimes use loops and record over , or just record (without loops). It also depends a lot on my mood !
