Hey guys. If you are the author, please continue to flag them along with the reason why. I have approached several of the users already and most of them are just not aware of our policy on self promotion. Thanks!

I kinda have a problem with doing that to be honest.

I hate the GLWS spam as much as the next guy, but if i flag them how does that look to potential buyers? If i wanted to purchase an item and the first 5 comments are all flagged i immediately think there is something wrong with the item and the seller wants to remove negative comments. And since the lifespan of an item on page 1 is very short i’m kinda hesitant to do anything that could put people off from buying the item in that timeframe.

That being said i think it’s a good thing that you are approaching those guys, that is probably the best solution.

In my opinion there are only two things left to do for european authors:

1. Delete our items 2. Soft disable our items until envato ends this madness

Until i hear back from the review team about softdisabling my items i am thinking of adding a disclaimer to my items telling european customers to not purchase my item and that there will be no support in case they do it anyway. Maybe i should even mention that the invoices they will get from envato are, at least in my opinion, highly illegal in most european countries.

Doing this right before the weekend and with a two days notice sure was awesome.

Now i have two days to make the decision if i delete my items or not. Happy weekend to me i guess.

So in essence you cherrypicked all of the advantages from the platform and reseller model for yourself while giving authors all of the disadvantages and call that “empowering and celebrating authors”. Interesting.

I dont want to hijack this thread, but here is suggestion for developers ( not designers ) who are thinking about buying mac. Install UBUNTU, which is now almost same as OSX, but you can run it on any hardware. So the costs are same as win PC, but you gain advantages of OSX. As a former mac user i can highly recommend this

While i 100% agree with Linux being awesome, i’d recommend everybody who’s about to make the switch, and especially if you come from OSX, to check out elementary OS. It’s basically an Ubuntu derivate with a more OSX’ish look and feel and it’s lightning fast on top of that.

Sorry for derailing the thread.

That’s like every second theme from about a year ago. Searching for “masonry” should give you a lot of results.

I wouldn’t see a particular reason for it. The iPhone 6 plus display is good, but nothing special. There are displays out there with better resolution / ppi and if you didn’t use 300% so far i don’t see how the iPhone 6 plus could change that.

Yes, the announcement was like two weeks ago. They changed the 2$ surcharge to 1$ and keep 100% of that, so you will never again get additional money from direct buy. You can read the announcement on the blog.

Some people probably did, but envato changed their fee structure last month.

Before the fee for direct purchase was 2$ from which you got 50%-70%, now it’s only 1$ of which envato keeps 100%.

Edit: Here is the announcement: http://marketblog.envato.com/news/balanced-envato-market/

It is actually not that hard.

A lot of themes come with a demo content file included. All you have to do is import that demo content file and voila, your website will look exactly as the demos, now its just a matter of editing the demo content to include your texts, images and so on and to delete the stuff you do not need.

Also most themes have great documentation to help you out.

And then there are always places like http://studio.envato.com/ where you can hire somebody for very reasonable prices to do the work for you.
