There is no best DAW, it mostly comes down to if you feel comfortable using it and if you need the features offered.
+1 I’m a Cubase user and it has a lot to offer but this is only the start Travis…it will soon become an obsession! It gets to all of us in the end…haha.
Seriously though if you can get a deal on Ezdrummer that’s a good place to get off the ground with real sampled drum sounds and they will let you drag and drop midi files straight into the project in Cubase…although it is always better to create your own.

Didn’t many people have problems with Mavericks as well? Interface’s stop working etc A colleague of mine had to buy a new interface for this very reason, it’s not good really.

I would make sure that all your libraries are up to date and you also have the latest version of Kontakt.
