I wish this requirement would simply go away (as well as IE itself, actually ;-). It really hamper design, and it’s the #1 reason I haven’t moved to HTML5 / CSS3 fully, rather sticking to jQuery.

If the items themselves are of high enough quality, why reject them just for other items spotlight sake? I agree that nowadays new items slide out of the main page too soon, however, there are other ways to solve this.

A couple of more rows could be added, or another set that cycles with the first, etc.

At least you can find some work, even some miles away from your family / friends / etc. Here in Greece unemployment is at more than 25% (55% under 30 years old) and the Web Design field is hit incredibly hard.

Most people / companies see having a website as a luxury or rather, a quality one. As such, they don’t pay for one, or they flock to the 100€ premade cr%*.

If it weren’t for TF and me teaching a couple of classes in High School, i’d literally have 0 income.

All I’m saying is, try to always get the best of what you have (don’t know, maybe It’s the other way around) :-D

On the 8th day of Christmas, Envato gave to me,

Three flyer templates,

Two jQuery sliders

and a really nice responsive theme.

and then i had to contact support

Cos the theme was not responsive

I was waiting for support response until the end of time

at least accordion to Mayans, then i got my answer and they told me

they found out that Santa is dead and they grieve and can’t help me

On the 9th day of Christmas, Envato gave to me …

Multiple rejections that failed to inspire.

But I know next year I’m going to be on fire

And let it be known, I am no liar

Let authors handle their items prices, in USD.

God no. It would lead to multiple abuses. Authors in countries with a weak countries would become ridiculously more competitive, and buyers would be drawn to lesser quality products due to price alone.

OT: I completely agree. As a EU resident, and a Euro user (at least for now ;-)) it really hurts withdrawing my earnings. A slight price increase to accomodate inflation and currency hiccups would be ideal.

Whatever the case, do the right thing and contact the author; even if you don’t come to a solution, don’t make this public, just contact support.

However, seeing as it got past review, it’s highly probable this is NOT a copy.

Cheers, Nikos

Even a regular HTML template is pretty easy to set up with a tool like Dreamweaver, provided you know some simple HTML and CSS, and Kalypso is an amazing choice. However, as aformentioned, if you’re not at all experienced with HTML and CSS, you should definitely opt for a Wordpress theme, as they’re much easier to install and – especially – to edit.

Cheers, Nikos

Sorry but I totally agree with trendyWebStar. This theme need tons of improvement to even have a shot here. Visual hierarchy is all over the place, typography is lacking and most importantly, it looks very boring and dull.

All the best, Nikos
