And still, there’s no official answer on the fundamental question raised in the thread – how is this soft disable issue going to be handled in future and are there going to be any improvements. Really hope this will get attention of the corresponding staff.

And I hope they won’t lock this thread just the get away with the issue specially now that the elite authors are majorly involved.

Hi. I’ve been browsing for almost 1 hour now but no luck.

I’m looking for a navigation script similar to this: http://plberret.fr/ My client wants something like this but kinda different, he wants the logo to be smaller as he scroll down, i found another example for that: http://tuskjournal.com/

Will appreciate any help.

Please give me a reason why designing a website homepage shouldn’t take 1 -2 days but maximum of 1 week and up.

I’m looking for HTML template that is similar to Duplex theme by the author named Hypha. So basically an HTML template without a slider/banner but a blog or magazine type.

I’ve browsed the “Site Templates” category for almost 2 hours now but can’t seem to find any that match what i’m looking. I saw mikedidthis files but those are tumblr themes, although almost all his designs perfectly matched of what i want.

Some additional details: Minimalist and Classy

Please do not get yourself into trouble. You cannot and should not work on the visit visa. There are pretty strict rules in UAE, so if they will find out, they will give a big fine.

If they would be any serious company, they would send you contract and ask you to apply for work visa, which is very easy if you have legal contact.

Also as you have noticed that their attitude is not positive, I think it will create lots of difficulties for you to work there.

So, think about it very carefully and decide whats good for you.

You are right. The difficult part about this is that there’s many people who’s counting on me for this job and i accept the fact that i made a terrible mistake and should have rejected the offer from the first place. I hope they’ll understand me

An IT company from Abu Dhabi, UAE offered me a work and they want me to start as soon as possible.

Since this is the first time someone offered me a job from abroad I want to make everything clear for my safety and to be wise I asked them if they could show any papers to prove that they’re legit, They sent 2 license.

As we’re changing emails for 1 month I tested the attitude of the employer (This is because I want to work to a company with positive people and i think this is really important) so I made excuses or made-up mistakes as i’m processing my papers e.g delay of delivery of passport and other government IDs. And it succeed, he’s someone who gets mad easily (saying foul language etc.), I received my passport 4 days ago and sent them a copy.

From this time i’m already having doubts to them not only because they are a new company (they are like just 1 year old), people with negative attitude but also because they want me to travel and work with a visit visa. I received an email today from them for travel notice that I might leave next week so I made a research before answering them and this is also the reason why I posted this thread, to get information and advice. I find out that working in UAE with a visit visa has a penalty of 50,000 dirham.

As of now, all I have from them is a job offer. No contract or any others. If in case i accepted the job what are the things that might happen when i arrived to their country? And what should i do to make sure that whatever happens to me will be their responsibility?

I’m also asking my friends about this to get advice but they don’t have answers yet.

Should I accept it or no?

An agency based in Abu Dhabi wants me to work with them with a monthly salary of 6,600 AED. Including full year health insurance and travel ticket. No housing and transpo.

Can I survive? what lifestyle should i expect with that salary?
