I have to side with a lot of you on this one. 44.1kHz and 320kbps should be the standard. Or at least 256kbps. I upload all my tracks in 44.1 and 320 formats.
I’m not sure exactly what your budget is on this orchestral stuff, but here’s my take on it. You have to decide if you want to have realistic sounds, or something electronicly generated.
I, myself, write orchestra music. I use a lot of software from Quantium Leap/East West. You can find the EWQL website here : www.soundsonline.com
They have a little bit of everything. Orchestra, Choirs, Solo Voices, Drums/Percussion, Synths, Rock…the list goes on. You may be wide eyed when you see the prices (they aren’t cheap, I’m telling you that much already). But you have to realize what they do to get the samples for these synths/sofware.
Every sound on the software is sampled from a real instrument. So, in a sense, every time you select an instrument, that actual instrument gets played when you play on your keyboard (through the MIDI ). For example, you select Violins Butter Legato and you play on your keyboard..you hear a real violin playing butter legato style.
There are many demo songs on their site and you can also look through my profile and see what can be made using this software. Hope this information was useful to you. Best of luck with your findings!
Haha, thanks guys I’ll just be glad to get back to doing music.
Hello everyone, Derek here. As some of you may know, the last few months I have only had one new track uploaded and released. This is due to me having some severe issues with my computer. I somehow managed to get a nasty Malware virus on my computer. After three days of trying to get rid of this malware, I finally deleted the last part of it. Now the problem is, is that whatever this malware had done to my computer had made it impossibly slow and makes the system crash when running my music software and barely manages to load web pages.
Alas, there is a bright side to this story. I have ordered new computer parts, and I should have them by the 10th. So hopefully I’ll be back up and running by next weekend where I can work on more music and work with those clients who have contacted me for work.
So to all of you who have been waiting for music and/or replies on quotes/jobs, I apologize for the situation at hand, and I will return 100 times better than when I had left. Hope all is well with all of you and best of luck on your future endevours.
I’m pretty sure I posted a reply to this, but just in case. Count me in It’s always interesting to see how others came around to creating their projects.
Hey everyone. Just stopping by to let everyone know that I have a new avatar and also to let everyone know that I’m still alive. Some of you may notice me from my old avatar (the simple “DP’ lettering on a black backgrond). It’s been a while since I have uploaded any new music, but there are a few peices in the works. I also am getting ready to re-desin my website so things there are slow at the moment as well.
Anyway, I will keep this short and take my leave. I should have a new track up before too much longer. I wish you all the best in your projects and purchases!

If each drop was considered insignificant, the oceans would have lacking in splendor, and instead to replace their magnificence would be a body of shame, as there would be no one to dry its tears, the world would over flow with its sadness. But we can be sure that the oceans have such splendor and magnificence because it does count each and every drop of water that it collects as significant, precious, and valuable.

As a Trance producer myself, I can’t help if I love a good Trance track. Awesome vocalist in it as well as a killer melody. Check it out if you haven’t heard it
