I know this seems like a simple bug, but it turns out to be a really curly problem, and we’re still looking at it.
In the meantime, please do contact support when you find items like this and we can fix them up.
Hi all.
You may have noticed we just had an outage. We’re still digging into the cause.
Everything is back up now, but a few search-related things are disabled: forum search, browsing by tags on most marketplaces, and some other odds and ends.
We’ll continue to work on it.
Congratulations from me and the rest of the marketplace development team!
Hi AddictedToLucid,
Search can take a day or two to update after changes to things like sales. When your search system has to hold 1.3 million items, not everything can happen instantly!

Dorde: Yes, Envato runs on Melbourne time, which is currently GMT +10 hours. (It was GMT +11 hours, but daylight savings finished here last night.) See http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=152
Motionworks: Yes, it’s April 1st here. Any new withdrawal requests made now won’t get processed until the end of April, and won’t be paid out until May.
Hi folks.
We’re running all the withdrawals through now. The money should come out of your account shortly, if it hasn’t already. Your payments will go through on the 15th as usual.
So what happened? We made some changes to the scheduling of fraud checks, and it looks like they unintentionally affected the timing of withdrawals as well.
Sorry for the confusion.
And a final note: There’s no need to panic about things like this!
We take paying you all very seriously, we have a lot of safeguards in place to make sure it happens correctly, and we schedule everything so we’ve got plenty of time to sort out any problems.
Thanks for letting us know about this, folks. We’ll fix it soon!
Sorry, folks! We’ve got a database server that’s misbehaving whenever we try to make changes to the site. The end result has been a couple of sizeable outages.
We’re putting all our resources into figuring out what’s going on, and calling in help from our hosting provider too. Hopefully we’ll get it sorted pretty soon.
In the meantime, sorry for the gaps in service. We’ll do our best to minimise any further outages.
Hi folks.
You may have noticed that we just had a rather lengthy unplanned outage (over an hour.)
We were deploying an update, and had our main database server crash quite badly. We’re now got it up and running again, and everything should be returning to normal.
We’re still investigating the cause.
We may have a few more brief outages as we tweak some configuration.
Sorry for the hassle.
