This should be fixed now (although it may take a little while to appear on some marketplaces while the caches clear.)

Sorry! We just plain dropped the ball on this one. We were trying to fix another bug, and didn’t test the way we usually do. I’ve now added some automated tests around it to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Hi folks,

Some of you may be seeing broken thumbnails and previews for some items at the moment, depending on where in the world you are.

I’ve just spent a couple of hours digging into this, and it seems it’s a problem with Amazon S3, which we use to host images.

Other Amazon customers are seeing the same problem, and Amazon is aware of the issue. We’ve raised our particular issue with them, and are awaiting a response.

In the meantime, sorry for the hassle. Hopefully it won’t take to long to get all the correct images back in place.

Regards,

Hi folks,

FTP is off the air for a little bit while we make some configuration changes. It should be back again shortly.

Sorry for the hassle.

Hi folks.

This is a problem with our caching of the number of items in each category not getting updated properly. We thought we had it sorted, but apparently not. We’ll do some more digging and see what we can find.

Hi Eliot,

Crumpler make great bags. I ride to work with one every day.

I’ve kept my last two MacBook Pros in Booq Vyper sleeves. Very tough and well made.

Hi folks.

The ”?sso” is something we added to the site switcher, to make our cross-site sign-in work with the improved home page caching that we’ve started doing recently.

I won’t bore you with the long technical explanation as to why it’s needed, but it is meant to be there. :)

LucidStudios and ShalaMedia: Can you tell me what page you were trying to load when you got the error?

Hi Steve. Yep, that was due to the search server playing up. It should be working fine now.

Hi folks!

We’ve been having some trouble with our search server over the last hour which has been causing some of these problems. Everything should be back to normal now. Sorry for the hassle.

For the folks who were getting the “Whoops” page before that, can you give more details about what page you were trying to load at the time? We monitor these errors, and we’re not seeing unusual numbers of them, so it may be a bug specific to you in some way.
