this site is royalty free stock audio, keep it as simple as possible for buyers and don’t confuse them with licensing and cue sheets because you won’t make any money from royalties anyway so there is no point.

I disagree, and you should too if you’re trying to make a living out of music as a composer as this is, and has been for a while, an important source of income for composers – especially when you’re making the small amounts you do on RF sites.

Making the life of someone who fills out a cue sheet (probably regularly if they’re a business who frequently licenses tracks) can be made easier by the library, like automatic filling-in or the like.

This isn’t the only site that I make money off as a composer, I earn royalties through various other licensing websites which allow PRO registered tracks, the good thing about this site is that it is quick and easy for the buyers and it’s a great place to sell any songs which I have that are lying around unused. I don’t think buyers should be made to fill out usage details as this is a stock audio site. It sounds to me like the composers on here want to turn it away from stock audio and into a full licensing, PRO allowed site – which would mean a massive increase in prices – which isn’t what Audiojungle is about.

I disagree with this post, this site is ROYALTY FREE, which means once the buyer has bought it, that’s it, you can’t earn royalties on it, which means there is no point in us knowing where the songs are being used except for our own personal gratification. I think this would put people off as a lot of buyers that come to this site are small companies or individuals that don’t know anything about licensing, they just want good music for their project at cheap prices. I can’t see how you would gain anything from knowing where your songs are being used here… you can’t claim any money from it.
Not to get into too much detail here, and derail this thread, but looks like there’s a little confusion over what ‘Royalty Free’ actually is. ‘Royalty Free’ just means that the buyer pays a fixed license fee ($17 for example) and won’t have to pay a royalty to the creator every time it’s used. One of the concerns over here on AJ is that we can’t claim for ‘performance royalties’, which could be paid to royalty collection organizations by radio stations, TV networks, etc, who are using and ‘performing’ our music publicly, and then distributed to us, the creators. It’s a very different situation, and has been recently brought up (again!) in this thread here. EDIT: LOL, you guys got there before me! Must type faster! :)

Yeah thats what I’m saying, you can’t collect performance royalties from songs here so there is no point in asking for the cue sheet or even a brief description of how the song is being used

That’s what I’m saying, you’re not supposed to be uploading tracks which are PRO registered, so no one – or company should be paying out any royalties anyway.

that can happen if you have set your computer to sleep after a few hours. Need to switch off hibernation and sleep.

Even though England is part of Europe…. Our music is very different to the rest of Europes music. I would say English music is closer to music from the US than the rest of Europe.

I think the answer is…... promote yourself more, keep uploading good tracks and make more sales so you will also be a top selling author. You can’t rely on AudioJungle to give you all your exposure, advertise your music yourself with links etc.
