It doesn’t sound terrible at all. It’s got a nice mood actually. The first thing that catches me though is the snare. I would either turn that down a bit, volume wise or eq wise in some areas namely top end… I would even add some reverb to that snare and maybe add some variations to it, drum roll or layer a snare on some beats. Besides all that… I think it’s good enough for the site. If I were a buyer I would pay 14$ for it any day of the week. ;}

I really don’t think the image banner protest will help out at all. We all already bitch far more than enough in the forums about everything that we need in order for AudioJungle to run to its full potential, and we’ve pretty much gotten nothing out of it except a headache, a bad mood, and a related items feature that nobody asked for. AudioJungle’s sales consistently grow month to month too so I’m sure that slows down their desire to make many changes.
+1$
Somewhat related but not… Did anyone else receive the updated Envato contract that included something about a “Project Order” ? Can anyone else simplify what this contract means?

Ahh, sorry to hear thatI think that AudioJunge does lot of things to promote the site and the other marketplaces but the self promotion is left to the authors. Well I guess that creating the music is just one part of the business, the other is promotion.
It might work for some people but I haven’t seen an increase that I have noticed.

Hi guys, Great post here, helped me a lot. Thanks ScottPeople like You make this community so special. I was wondering what is your experience with youtube promotion? I just started my youtube channel and seems like the number of views go really good. But how did it effect Your sales? Thanks
Little to no effect at all. Self-promotion doesn’t work much in this business especially when you’re starting out. It should be the duty of the site to promote our music. Or else why would anybody be on here if we could sell our own music and keep all of the profits?
Has anything changed in the Master Services Agreement? Did anyone else just receive this document?
Congrats this is good to hear!

Hey I’m new to AJ and this is my first post, I don’t understand how some people could compose – orchestrate – mix – master in a few hours…. let’s be honestI’m not talking about logos or 20 seconds loops obviously… I for example can finish a 2 minute decent not to complicate track in at list an entire intense day, but more probably 2 or maybe more. But then again there are indeed times when music…just “comes” to you and flows so easily…until you get again to the technical mixing etc. part…and those 20 joyful minutes of composing become hours of adjustments… Discipline is the key anyway

I think you have to treat mixing and editing as part of creating the track. When you look at it as a chore it won’t be fun. Also take breaks when you need to. Most simple tracks I can complete within a few hours. When I first started it took me weeks to finish one track!
AJ tracks… 14 minutes. 1 dollar per minute.
Guys i wouldn’t worry too much about the ratings… Or requests for that matter.
