If that’s worrying sign how we should call famous MSFX ’s picture?

OOP is definitely for the benefit of the developer more than anyone else. Unless you’re developing a framework for the buyer then saying your product uses OOP is pointless as anything that can be developed with OOP can be developed with any other method. That being said OOP is all about flexibility and re-usability for the developer but many people who claim to use OOP don’t take advantage of it. As for AS3 , the big deal is that you can finally use OOP effectively and fully. Sure you can develop anything in AS1 that you can develop in AS3 but it’s not about what is possible to develop it’s about how much time you spend developing and how flexible your applications are to change.

I’m gonna start learning AS3 next year, until then I can’t really have a point of view over this. Still, the whole idea was that it’s not important either a project is oop or not for the buyer.

You don’t really need oop for stuff that we sell here. If you ask me, I think that maybe it’s better not to write classes and other stuff in your files here because buyers usually don’t have a clue what classes are for, I think that they like much more how stuff works in as2, even if that’s total crap if you ask me . But if you program anything more complex (like games for example..) OOP will make your life so much easier. I really like AS3 it reminds me on Java, and things are much more defined, logical and strict than in AS2 .
