To all nerds (I guess that’s what we are): Don’t forget to tell this to your mother. Doesn’t matter if it is personally, per phone or per e-mail. A simple “Thank You” will be probably enough :)

Please don’t get me wrong, but what do you expect for that amount of money? You get items worth far over 500$ for only a fraction of 20$ and seriously complain? If you buy some stuff from a hot sale you also won’t get nothing more than those products available at time – and only have the chance of a money back if that product is malfunctioning in some way.

If you want receive updates and get support from the author you should definitely buy the appropriate license from the author, as this will not only brings you those additional benefits but also demonstrates some kind of respect against the author and his/her hard work.

Period.

Any woocommerce theme or any theme that’s made with easy digital downloads in mind. I use EDD on my site and it works great.
QUestion – as im a total newbie – easy digital downloads is a plug in from what i can tell… if i find a template without it, is it something i can add after the fact?

Yes. Usually you need to watch for a theme which supports EDD. Those you can purchase and download and you need to download the EDD Plugin separately and install it as well on your website. They should integrate tightly with each other.

Hi everybody,

I was currently surfin around on themeforest, watching some various items and also had a closer look on the current bundle as the question came up why PSD Templates are sold on Themeforest and not as other items with the same nature (graphics) on graphicriver.

I find it somehow confusing to see a “Template” in a bundle which actually isn’t really usable except you plan to slice it and code it into a proper website.

Please, I really hope I’m not insulting anybody (especially not the PSD Template Authors) but I would suggest to move them over to graphicriver with a link in the TF Navigation Bar like “Plugins” have – and handle them as graficriver items in the future.

What do you think?

I never liked the “hey, look at this, we found some more in the garage so we extend the deal”-kind of marketing, although it is very common in the US.

I don’t like it very much either, but it IS marketing that just works. And I also catch myself sometimes getting motivated through those kind of marketing campaigns.

In the end we shouldn’t forget that we’re here to SELL something which goes hand in hand with marketing so it just makes sense to have a proper concept which is targeted at the right audience and fires from all channels instead of senseless increasing the time a deal can be purchased.

From a marketing perspective – I would suggest a pretty much different way:

1. Promoting the upcoming bundle through all channels – including a countdown – so people get to know about BEFORE that a bundle will come.
2. The Bundle should be there for let’s say 3 days.
3. After those 3 days another announcment on ALL CHANNELS reach for additional buyers and traffic saying that the bundle has been extended to another 3 days because it was selling like hot cakes and envato and it’s authors is sooo good.

THAT would be MUCH better than the current process of putting a bundle online.

Of course this won’t eliminate the concerns of some of my fellow colleagues, but it would feel more like an incentive…
