For petes sake. There’s one Elite Author on here, who has pretty much copied verbatim the exposure.co (in one of their many homepage offerings). Have you no morals? Yes. Be influenced by what’s out there, we all do that, of course. But put your own stamp on it, refine it, improve on it.
We can all sit there and rip a site design, verbatim. Piece of cake. But do you not feel a fraud? If the internet was closed for the day, and you had to design a new theme, you’d probably be screwed? Unable to start, and progress from your blank canvas. Themeforest is currently littered with these authors, and growing at an increasing rate!!
What really confuses me? And maybe I’m missing something here.
One day – Spike in traffic, fair amount of sales Day after (and no not a Saturday, Sunday or Tuesday) Same amount of traffic, no sales??
Somethings royally screwed here?
And getting ever more tedious as the days go on.
PS: You. Author. With your fancy pants 20 different homepage styles, you can’t design. You think you can, but you really don’t know the true essence of effective UI/UX. You’re just a ‘copy and paste trends’ kinda guy. Stop. Leave TF to the professionals please. Rant over (You wouldn’t like to read the full un-edited version. Which I’ll be posting here very shortly.)
Was there such a dip last year, could be the summer vibe?
There always is a little in Summertime, but nothing like this. As MVP mentioned around April/May sales just fell off a cliff.
It’s pretty dire at the moment, and worrying more, and more by the day
...another minimal theme (more portfolio based), but take a look…http://themeforest.net/item/modest-minimal-portfolio-theme-for-creatives/9492382
Theme-Paradise said^ This is the main reason. Please be patient while we get things back to normal.
SecondLine saidReview team had been busy with recent security updates related to prettyPhoto XSS issue.
No disrespect/anger whatsoever, but I see some kind of irregularities in the reviewing process..
On June 27 – 16 items were reviewed Between June 28th and July 1st, 20 items were reviewed.Looks like it dropped significantly or am I totally missing something here? What’s Envato’s “optimal” release rate for WP themes for instance? 5-10 items per day or way less?
Thanks for chiming in Ivor. Much appreciated.
Unibox for Mac. Accept no substitute.
9 days, and counting. Terribly awesome if I say so myself.
URL to view please?
That map at the bottom. Wow! That is big!! No need for a map that height. Whereas contact details (Address, Telephone number etc..) are essential, maps, with markers are purely for decorative purposes (no one really gives a hoot if you’re 3 doors down from a Nandos). Don’t let them overshadow your content.
greenline saidYeah I too think so
7. I think (but that is my personal opinion) that the licenses are not fully understood here and there are many people who buy those huge themes because they customize each of them in different ways and use the same template license for more domains/customers.
Without a shadow of a doubt. I think this is abused to a great extent.
