You can create looped tracks but if it is a variation of another song you have on AJ it must be part of the same item. You can have up to 5 versions (including the main song) per item.
Under the licensing terms, you are only allowed to pass on the cost of the license, not gain an (unfair) profit from other peoples work, so if the source is revealed it should not make any difference. I truly hope that people aren’t profiting by selling on our hard work at a premium.
Yes, this has been brought up many times in the past. I myself upload my tracks with a filename that matches the song but they get renamed somewhere in the review pipeline. If there is a process that renames the files, I see no reason why it couldn’t rename them to the song name. I’m sure the guys/gals at Envato are busy but hopefully this is on their radar to be remedied at some point.
That’s great. It looks like there’s a lot of latency from the keys to the sound generated. It reminded me of this recent(ish) kickstarter for the WheelHarp.http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/31/the-wheelharp-string-orchestra-mechanical-keyboard/
Nice one Matt. Well deserved, and long overdue!
Ah, nice one Josh!
I can see the star rating system being useful for themeforest, photoshop plugins, and videohive projects (and probably others) as there could be usability issues/bugs with those products. Having such a system for music, as we know, is pointless as music is subjective so if you don’t like a particular style/orchestration you simply don’t purchase a license, and If you like it, you do. It’s very opaque to the quality, and as such is a black and white case. Anyway, sorry to hear that this is happening. If the star rating system must really persist, it should at least follow standard deviation practices and cull the top and bottom X% of ratings to remove the chaff.
It looks like the trend of my sales being the reverse of others. November has been pretty decent for me so far. I’m sure things will pick up soon for those having a dry spell – it always does!
Good luck! -Gari
Nice view Pietro! It reminds me of the region where my dad was from (Fondi, Latina). I’ll post pictures of my view once I get a few moments spare.
