Yes, a very nice deal. I’ve pinged them to confirm if we need to create a new account, and to clarify the 50 detections just so we are crystal clear. I’ll post the response once/if I hear back fro mthem.
Hhaha, yes, too good to be true BUT your screenshot says 50 free per month, so maybe it is something worth pursuing? I’m still unsure if we need to port our accounts over though.
Oh wait, the email says “50 tracks and get up to 50 free detections.” so it looks like you simply get 50 detection then no more *instead of 3 months last time). I’m not sure it’s worth going through the effort.
It’s odd if we need to create a new account. Oh well, I’ll give it a shot.
Yes, this morning I got the email too but after poking around their website it’s not clear what we need to do. I think we just do nothing and from today we get free detections on the 50 tracks. If you have over 50 uploaded already, I think you can disable them from the tracks page.
EDIT: just read Matt’s response. I’ll give it a new account a try, It’s kind of odd though, as they know more detections have occurred on our accounts tracks so the info should be available.
That’s great news to hear Eric. Thanks for following up on this and coming back with a well reasoned answer.
Yes, I think regular is fine with how you explained things but it does seem like the devs are trying to use loopholes to avoid paying for an extended license. Maybe the licenses need tweaking to avoid this situation?
