I don’t work full time for graphicriver but I am a full time freelancer. You pay you income tax like for every other income. You have to declare your income in your annual tax return (you probably have to make an “Einnahmen-Überschuss-Rechnung” in which you also state all your expenses like software, computer…). The only difference compared to the income you have in Germany is that the sales you get from envato are “nicht steuerbare Umsätze” which means that you don’t have to pay the sales tax for them. However, you have to declare them as “nicht steuerbare Umsätze” in your “Umsatzsteuervoranmeldung” if you are not a “Kleinunternehmer”. Quite complex subject, I hope it helps a bit but I am not an expert, so no guarantee that all this is correct

I don’t think there are many, from such strong economy and high cost of living country, working full time only at GR. At least it’s nothing close to easy way of living and working, but all the more interesting if nothing else. If your case is about the technical side of how things work, expand it to ThemeForest and you’ll be more lucky, I believe.

Instead of envato look after their income and protect it the bother to make new badges and new topics bars in the forums like we 13 years old and we care about new badges in the current situation! First comes the protection of your main income and then comes the rest! Truth hurts and harsh words are said but understand our frustration and disappointment when we see our sales dropping and give our “work away” in a matter! Besides we are the ones giving envato money and power to move forward with our designs, promotion and referrals! We dont say Envato can wipe out the problem but at least the obvious can be solved i mean the 1 or 2 sales problem because is so clear who is doing this! going here as non-exclusive author and upload also to all giraffe sites.
Then put referal-links onto the giraffe sites, like they already do and earn from those who decided to get the item it in a legal way after they tested it for free.

Oh yes nice idea too…maybe we should create everything for free and earn money with popups, advertisements or flash banners…where i can buy flash banners? Ohhh yes – activeden! Is everything available for free there too??? And i need an account at a good hosting company which could host my files without proofing violations of copyrights.

I think there are a lot possibilities that envato could try. We reach on a new stage of history now. They let us discuss the problem to each other. Without constructive commenting from Envato Admins. They ignore and hope that everything will come to a quiet end. I am not only a graphic designer…i am a marketer too. So there are a lot of big ideas i have to fight against this terrible situation. But at the moment they earn to much money with us to fight the problem on our side. They will wake up if the better system will come…that is the market.
