hm. I suppose this is one of those “sincerest forms of flattery”?

Inspired for sure but it’s just a base that’ll change over time.

We’ve been working on the branding of our Envato profile, trying to get it right.

Surely we can decide whether we like something or not but it’s not about that, it’s about the buyer, so check out our new profile by clicking on the avatar on the left and let us know what you think. “Bashing allowed, we can take it.” :)

This isn’t meant as self-promotion, just looking for some friendly feedback and constructive criticism. If deemed as self-promotion, my apologies.

I have a plugin which I feel has gone down-hill (Portfolio Premium WP Plugin), mostly because it hasn’t been updated in quite a while and the last update was abysmal.

In any case, when people buy, they don’t ask questions or try to get help to get the thing to work.

Admittedly it doesn’t conform well with themes, etc as-is and I know longer work with the developer who helped build it because of the code quality.

I’ve made a large update pretty recently and am finishing things up and it makes a huge improvement to the plugin and its compatibility.

Anyway, the point is that why do buyers post bad ratings without even trying to get support and how do we combat that?

Sorry for being A bit off topic but where can I find the Purchase Code validatior plugin for Vanilla? Great looking board!

Thank you, we tried to spruce it up a bit and not look like every other board. Also, credit goes to sevenspark where his board inspired us to start creating full reference guides and to use the donate buttons, hence why our sidebar looks almost identical.

The Support is live now, check it out!

Looks good, good work with using Vanilla . Looks sweet. Is Zoomit on your team, because he has loads of $$$$ lol ( flickr image )

Good Luck

Haha. I think he just used the tutorial I wrote for Vanilla Purchase Code and that image is from there. If that’s the case I’m glad it helped :D

@Australia – if you are in the Vanilla Forum Development, please for the new version add a remove formatting button – sometimes I paste some 10 line CSS code from the Chrome Inspector and I get the limit 7200 characters error :notfunny:

Ha, you’re right and thanks for posting that for the purchase code. We did implement it a bit differently but it was a big help! :)

No, can’t say he’s on my team unfortunately. I say that because Zoomit is great and we can only aspire to be so good.

Glad you like the forum and Vanilla is working out good. May not use it in the future though because the code isn’t written to the standards I like and it hasn’t incorporated HTML5 at all.
