Don’t stress out too much (and please don’t open too many support tickets). They are aware of the issue and it will be resolved either by the on-call staff or when someone gets into the office Monday.

Not to worry though because it’s still a couple of weeks until the withdrawals are “processed”, and it will be certainly fixed before then.

Well I for one welcome our new support overlord!

I get 90% buyer to support ratio on one of my products, with quite a few people still asking questions after 6 months. This will be great for me. Can’t wait :)

With these things it’s best to post examples/screenshots of the item.

Also there may already be too many items of that particular type on the market already, or those particular type of items may not be selling well, or they may not be looking for those type of items right now.

It’s best to take the time to improve the item. Most new authors get hard rejected the first time. I have been hard rejected many times, and the end product I finally release is always much better than the original rejected item.

Good luck!

ps: and start working on a second item right now :)

http://codecanyon.net/item/php-country-list/8591022

This item was added a year ago, much has changed. And it hasn’t sold even a single copy. So it’s pretty clear these types of items are not really good for the market.

The best thing to do is drop everything and start working on the next item.

I’ve had about 8 hard rejections and about 20 soft rejections over the years. It’s best to just start on a fresh new idea and you’ll find you can re-use old failed projects in future work.

So, my item is a list of all countries with names and ISO 3166-1 codes in all languages and all data formats.

Sorry man, that is way too basic for the marketplace. and data like that would only be used by developers, which can already find that information for free on wikipedia or github.

Keep the item handy though, maybe you could re-use that code in another item down the track?

Maybe as a drop down country selection box in a much larger script?

Start work on the next idea (and the next!) and keep on going!

Good luck!

Yes, no, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes you get good adwords conversions, sometimes you get good facebook conversions, sometimes you get nothing.

Get the item up and running first. Then a month down the track run a few weeks worth of advertising, then a few weeks without. Compare sales and see how you go.

Good luck with your first Envato item!

The URL would be mysite.com/x/gif.php?item_id=xxx&item_name=Name

Check the latest code, it will now work with just ?item_id=xxx. No item name needed.

How about adding ?item_id=xxx
Yep in config.php put
switch($_GET['item_id']){
   case '12345':
       // put your config code here for that item id
      break;
   case '54321':
       // put your config code here for that item id
      break;
   //etc.
}

I’m only using this one 1 item so haven’t made it too generic

Also, Please add files in a separate folder if possible. Looks messy :P

haha. yes quite messy/rushed. Wasn’t planning on sharing :)
