I still believe that if you create an awesome project that brings attention to reviewers, you have a chance to be featured. But that´s just me, I am a believer!

yes, I’m quite sure reviewers flag potential items for getting in that list then they review it again and pick one that they like (or some other staff pick the one they like) Is subjective so that is the hard truth :) They pick what THEY like and is not a rule to pick items that are selling or are trending, I’ve seen items picked because they were creative but with small utility for buyers.

If you want to see an example of this go to videohive, last item in the row (on the right)

very creative and nice file, very low sales unfortunately. That simply because buyers don’t know what to do with it in my opinion.

(somewhat beeing called monkees doesn’t add to one credibility)

we will wait for an answer but at the moment, for exclusive authors, looks like everyone can purchase your item and give it for free except you, the author.

when opening after effects it should check if disk is present and give me the option to plug the disk before continue to load the application

Like something like this:

“hey, cache disk not present, connect the disk or click continue to reset the path to default and start after effects”

I use an external hard disk as cache for various adobe applications but this is mostly for After Effects

One of the most annoying thing with this, is that if I forget to plug the HD and I open After Effects, it automatically reset the cache paths to default locations (on system disc) Then I need to manually change the path to the external disk

Since I forget about the disk before opening After Effects quite often :) is getting really frustrating.

Did anyone know some solution to this?

BTW, I think I report your mentioned affiliate links to support now, I’m afraid you die from a heart attack sooner or later if I don’t do it :D

thank you to letting me know. I’m really curios if will get removed

dev should build some sort of automatic filters that can detect these type of links. but it may be quite a project, don’t know if it worth the try

maybe your wife/friend/brother/parents bought it, not you ;)

yes, but first is not logic, second, if they use the same ip as you, you may get into troubles, as you may get accused of gaming the system.

Envato knows that certain authors may try to game the system so they come up with this logical rule to not be allowed to buy your own items. Fine till now.

But then for some reason, they allow a buyer to give the item for free, for promoting buyer own blog or website, which is a strange rule by itself, but also get in conflict with the rule above. This rule is very strange and get in conflict with the license rule of not distributing our items source for free on internet. It also get into exclusivity issues as my items need to be purchased/obtained here only and not on some website I don’t know about.

Those websites need permission from me to put my items as prizes? If yes, this need to be very clear.

Also, our items can be used as rewards for buying third party products. since the paragraph above doesn’t specify what type of contests are allowed and what not.

Hi everyone, these were removed as part of our buyer services changes announced earlier this month. There’s a section titled “API / Screenscraper Changes From the Fee Structure Change” in the blog post for authors at http://marketblog.envato.com/news/buyer-services/. Hope this helps! :)

yes, we know they were removed when those changes had been applied, but we are hoping someone explains why those information can be shown in the statement page.

For example, the item price:

No need to answer I already know.

It was removed because the algorithm extracted the actual price (including the 2$ fee) and not the deposit normal price. Instead of updating the algorithm to show the deposit only price, devs chose to eliminate the information shown to authors.

Not getting again in the “good vs bad” move of cutting authors from this 2$ fee but by removing the price information envato succeeded in hiding when an item is sold using direct purchase vs deposit purchase.

We already know you want to hide this info and we already know envato keeps those 2$ so no need to pretend anything, please pass our request to developers to update the algorithm to show us the item price when a sale is made

While they are at, they should made all the envato fee, buyers fee, whatever, automatically and just show us the old percentage as it was before.
