That would make much more sense!
Sad the example they provided didn’t list the files individually – kind of implied the rules had changed.
It shouldn’t really be to the first 30 authors that uploads first. This encourages rushed and poor quality work. What’s stopping everyone just rushing this just for money? The quality bar for Envato isn’t actually set that high, so it’s viable.
Everyone should have a fair chance of winning and not to the first 30 packs. If you ask me, after the deadline, Envato should pick 30 winners out of the entire collection of sound effects packs uploaded from now to the deadline.Jus’ sayin’.
I think that’s a fair reaction, but they did make it clear it’s a contest to see how quickly you can produce quality:
“In short, it’s a race to see who can quickly submit quality content based on the following criteria:”
Such a fabulous contest idea! However, is there anyway to confirm that submissions were received? I know it says to just submit, but is there any confirmation process ?
Ah this is great news! Nice work AJ!
Audio Jungle is the Target of stock music. They could get away with raising their prices slightly, but I would be more interested if that came with an even tougher screening process! High quality ‘designer’ music for cheap has its appeal, but there needs to be a balance. If prices are raised significantly, I hope the screening process becomes much more intense.
Just wondering what people here use to help them with managing their freelance work. I use a combination of iCal and Freshbooks (but using the free version limits you to 3 clients) – was wondering if anyone knows any other good time management / finance applications / recommendations. If you make a recommendation, include mac/pc availability!
Use and abuse what you have until you need something new. After 6 months of producing, come back to your shelved libraries and they sound new. Not just because you haven’t used them in a while, but because your ears will have gotten better at listening. There’s a lot of power in limitations though..
The integrated pitch to midi conversion looks so wonderful. Can’t wait to just hum my ideas and quickly make use of them.
The updated EQ and compressor look beautiful – and the live updating visual of the audio while you’re e-q-ing is so fantastic.
The real game changer is recording automation to clips. I cannot begin to fathom how great this will be! Especially for working in any type of live theatrical production – man I’m excited!
