Well, that is your problem. I think they give hard-reject for that issue because it’s explained on the site and on the forums.
Here’s a useful forum post: http://graphicriver.net/forums/thread/logo-template-submission-tips/50372You should also read these: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/354 http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/334 http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/517/80/logo-templates-submission-requirements
Your art-board should be A4 size. And should only contain the logo versions that are for print, not mock-ups or any preview.
As for the preview image… When you uploaded the logo, did you also included the preview image and logo thumbnail? If not, that’s your problem.
Oh, and I think the Logo Template should fit on a single A4 sheet of paper. It wouldn’t be nice if the client would try to print that on paper and it would get cut off or resized.
Is your text editable in Illustrator 10? Also… the font doesn’t seem to high-quality, but that could be because of the image resolution, I can’t tell.
Or maybe the problem is the shape of the logo. Are all those little shapes editable? Can you change color easily on each of those parts? Can you move them around freely? It could be that there are too many parts to the logo and it’s too hard to edit it.
I would also advise you to get rid of the end part, with the rating stuff. If that’s part of the Logo Template, that’s not good at all. That would belong to the help file or the preview image, not the actual template.
Thanks! That’s really helpful!
Really great information, but I was wondering where I can find an example of the help file for Logo Templates. What should contain? I’ve prepared all the files that are necessary for upload except the help file. Could anyone help me with this? Thanks!
I think Adobe Illustrator is all you need.
I would really want to know how to you make these fonts, I’ve been trying to generate my own fonts with your site and it’s awesome, but I want to be able to do my own fonts with custom shapes. I would appreciate some indication here. Thanks.
You can upload your own shapes to the same app in .svg format. You can pretty much do anything with it.
Haha! What are the chances to find the guy that made IcoMoon here on ThemeForest? Great job! I really like it! However I have a question. Can I use the free icons in templates here on ThemeForest? I plan to purchase the full version, but right now, being relatively new here, I need a way to get started.
that is a great site. But I have found one or two fonts that are not actually free for commercial purposes. It must have been something they overlooked. That is why is always to not only check the license text provided there but also look for the original site of the author and read the license there.
I have found the same problem. I have a couple of unique fonts from fontsquirrel and I’m not sure I can use those on templates. I guess that the fonts that are just for preview are not ok for templates.
