I beg to differ, search billboards and roll up banners on Graphicriver, the designs are awesome but they are also simple, you can’t compare the level of detail of a flyer with a billboard.

On paper, your argument stands valid but on practice…hehe..try it for yourself and when you’ll see how long it takes to apply a blur effect, you will start to have some doubts on experimenting on high resolutions.

And just to prove a point, the file size of my last A2 poster is almost one GB, how much does a billboard with a gradient background, a vector shape, text and an image have? And I’m sure that you will get me with “what does file size have to do with pricing” the higher the size the more complex, the more complex it is the more time it takes to produce and the more time it takes to produce the more expensive it should be.

It’s not about the print size, the labor time that primarily affects the complexity and detail of the design are the ones that matter.

My opinion on pricing: Flyers-6$; Posters-8$; Billboards and roll up banners – 6-8$ depending on design complexity.

I get your point, but remember there are also simple flyers and more complex flyers. It would be a nightmare for Envato to price items based on complexity. It is easier to price items by category, but like i said before, flyers, posters, banners and billboards in real life are priced mostly based on its sizes and not the complexity. For example, take a look at the logo category, they are the most expensive items in Graphicriver and they are not the most complex things. A flyer have more datails and is more complex than a logo, but we all know that we cant sell a logo cheaper than a flyer. And if someone plan to say “thats why logos almost never sells in GR”, thats not true, logos usually dont sell because people don’t need a logo every day, week or month.

Like many users already do, they make the same design for each of those medias, and if the price were to be increased, buyers would just buy the cheapest design (flyers) and adapt it to a billboard size (since most designs are all vector based), and would make the sales of these medias from low as it is now, to really non existent sales. I believe this is the reason why they are all the same price on these markets.

Thats not correct. People purchase print templates in GR because the work is almost done, they don’want o can’t spend too much time customizing o creating the design and also because here they find cheap prices and “good quality”. You just can’t open a PSD flyer template, make it bigger and get a banner signage or a billboard, they have different aspect ratios, also you will need to scale styles and if the flyer have rasterized elements then they will look pixelated on bigger sizes.
