Hi guys, I need to find a song that is very close to this song, without the vocals though. I like all the instruments, all the different transitions, snare rolls, build ups and all. Please be similar.
The song is called Dare You By Hardwall.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clRjbYa4UWQ
Hi there, here are some driving electronic stuff that might fit your needs!! I wrote the first two with exactly that in mind. Hope it can help! Chan
Thanks for all the feedback guys! I’d love to hear more if others want to contribute.
When creating a mix for television I always do my normal stereo mix and then I check for mono compatibility. I have an analogue Mackie 8-Bus mixer with a handy mono button on the monitor section. I check the mix and listen to it outside of the room – I do this because the mix will sound fresh to my ears.
What’s your take on panning, do you always go hard left or right, or do you sometimes use more subtle pans?
Hi guys, since most of this music we create is used in the production world (tv, podcasts, videos) I was wondering if affected your use or opinion on panning certain instruments in the mix. Some say only pan instruments hard left, center or right to clean up and widen the mix, while other’s feel that just panning certain instruments slight left or right still opens up the mix in a more natural way. Do you guys have a standard practice or does it depend on each track? Do you guys always check your mix in mono?
