I always find these posts very interesting to find a little bit more from your neighbouring musician friends struggling to do the same as all of us. If its struggling to make ends meet as a musician, or struggling to raise a family with a full time job and to find the time to live their musical dream.

As for me, I’m 48 with a young family and work full time as a Creative Director. The dream of being a rockstar is slowly fading. I travelled across Canada for many years touring in the 80’s in top 40 bands, learned a lot musically and life in general and met a lot of awesome folks.

I’m here at AJ more or less as a hobby, I love creating music and have been writing RF tracks for AJ for almost 2 years. I find I have a few months out of the year to be creative and write some new tracks, but then life comes in and I end up uploading a lot less than I would like. So far I’m pretty happy with my sales considering my lack of input and uploads. As a Creative Director, I am planning to tap into my creative end and expand my skills to spread out within Envato, they have so much to offer I may as well venture into other venues and promote my music within my own VH project, ha… wish me luck.

Great post and always love to hear what others are up to.

Great answer =) thanx

I’m going to buy a new computer cause my one can not cope with big orchestral projects with a lot of instruments. Can U advise me please what computer would be a good variant? I think about iMac 2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 8GB (two 4GB) memory 1TB hard drive what do U think? thanx
I think for music production you need 8 cores,so save up for i7 or some AMD FX, cpu,i own AMD FX and im very happy, new fx 8370 is cheap and is very great but you will probably have to buy better cooler for it,because stock is a pos :) i5 is the best cpu for gaming cause games use 4 core max,but audio sequencers use all available cores so even cheaper amd 8 core will be more powerful. Bottomline is: if you got the money, buy i7 4770 (non K if you dont want to overclock) or FX 8370 if you want to save up some money and still be safe in terms of performance. I overclocked my fx 8320 to 4.2ghz and in every benchmark is 5% faster than i7 3770.

what minuses would be if I buy core i5? And this is imac so it will not overheat am I wrong?

what is the better choice: PC or Mac for music making?

You’re a top author as soon as your have sell for 75 000$ and more !

That good to work with Videohive author so you can have more visibility more reason to buy your music.

For example if a buyer is searching for an animation logo and your music work with the presentation, it’s possible that the buyer want your music too. A lot of partnership and you sell will take off !

I am new here and 6759th for sales on AudioJungle ! Fine !

Only 74 962$ of item sells and I am a top author ! Soo clooose…

thanx for ur answer but How find somebody on videohive for cooperation?
