This is really good! However, from my humble point of view i’ll tweak some things :

The 3last backgrounds are, in my opinion, way to strong. It disturbs the eyes. Then, you need more colors to bring your template to life, actually it is good, but more colors will make it really good (use more of this yellow?).

I join Anps for the icons, add more space at the bottom. And you might want to work more on that headline caption to make it attractive ?

Hope it helps :)

There are only three style actually the slider ones, the slider ones without dark background (which can be counted as one) & the rounded ones with pink over (which is the same as the menu over, but for aesthetical purposes, i removed the border on this one)

That being said, the template is almost approved, it’s in soft-rejection, so I’m not going to give up at this stage… ;) I’m still open for feedbacks on this : “The use of one color across so many typographic elements creates a somewhat “flat” appearance and reduces overall visual hierarchy, which is important for structured eye flow.”

I’ve been trying to find some points to adjust (I thing I’ve got it but still… not sure about it!). So I’ll be thanksful if you can help me on this issue.

Regards, Florent

Tell us why is it soft-rejected maybe we can be more accurate? :p

One thing that I see though, is the spacing/alignment in the menu, that looks a bit messy.

I took a look at your template and if he just checked the screenshots I know why it is rejected (though, I have to agree that they have to, at least, be a little bit more specific when reviewing).

Your logo is the worst thing in your template, it doesn’t fit at all, remove it and keep it simple but stylish. Same error for your slider’s arrows & bullets, this style doesn’t fit. Your overall theme looks simple but too simple at the moment, try to make it a little more stylish but with no abuse of effects. I also see some spacing & alignment issues, if you look at your footer for example, you have three different alignments, why ? It makes it look a bit messy. (you have repeated this issue at some points, try to find it!)

Hope it helps ;)

Hello again, I think we’re almost there, but I’m struggling to understand the last statement after I updated my theme : “The use of one color across so many typographic elements creates a somewhat “flat” appearance and reduces overall visual hierarchy, which is important for structured eye flow.”

Knowing this, I don’t really know where to look & so where to start.

And here is the last update of my template : http://www.arkgrafik.com/swooosh/Previews/

Thanks a lot. Regards, Florent

Thanks a lot, as I said, the main issue the reviewer pointed was the Typography. I posted an update (above your post) with typo changes and i removed that “salmon” color and replaced with that pink.

Also, the colors on my theme are the strongest part, as I wanted to have a good contrast. I mostly took all the colors that are in the slider. But you and enigmator are right I can minimize the number of colors are there are some that are close to each other. Though I still want to keep that original touch ;)

The template at this moment is in the soft rejection process, so I have to update when I’d refined the typo aspect…

Please keep posting critique, I appreciate !

This one is really nice… Though I’ll add more space between each elements of the form in the footer ;)

I have tried this on the homepage : http://www.arkgrafik.com/swooosh/test/

I have unified typos on both and I have deleted one color on the first but two on the second. Your thoughts ?

Thanks a bunch again :)
