Hi everyone
I love checking out everyone’s workspaces and desktops. Maybe that’s because I work from home and don’t get out much.
If you’d like us to share yours on Envato Notes, head over to this form. The queue’s currently empty!

Thanks for the great questions everyone. You can read Theo’s answers in his interview, which was just published.
Next week we’ll be running an interview with Theo Ghita (studio_21) on Envato Notes. He’s an author on AudioJungle, VideoHive, GraphicRiver and PhotoDune.
Do you have any questions for him that you’d like answered in the interview? Just leave them below.
Thanks!
We’ve been throwing around some ideas about how to make the Author Interviews more interesting. One great suggestion is to allow the community to ask some questions. After all, you guys know each other much better than I do!
So here we go. The next author to be interviewed is Jeff Oakley (JeffOakley), who’s on ActiveDen, GraphicRiver, and soon ThemeForest. If you have some questions you’d love him to answer for the interview, please write them below. I’ll get Jeff to drop in and answer them.
Thanks!

The first author interview to incorporate questions from the community is out: BcreativeStudio. I’d say it’s a good start!

One thing that I couldn’t comprehend about the thread at GraphicRiver is why the interviewee is answering questions in the thread itself? Just asking, no criticism here.![]()
Hi Boris. I thought about that long and hard. There are three reasons I decided to ask the author to answer on the forums at least this time:
1. This idea is new, and I wanted to encourage the people asking the questions that they were being heard. And also reward them with a preview of the interview.
2. There might be so many questions asked that I can’t include them all in the interview. In that case I can refer people to the forum if they want to read more.
3. A workflow issue. I didn’t want to be sitting there with my finger on “Publish” wondering if the author was about to email me another set of answers from the forum. This way, before I publish I just need to check the forum and include whichever questions have been answered.
Depending on how things go, I might change this practice in the future.

Something that popped into my mind is giving the author one “question slot”. That is, the author can “ask himself” a question that no one did. Might sound a bit like split personality but I think it will be really interesting.
That’s a great idea, and I regularly give people the opportunity to add a question of their own if they have something more to say. They never do! People find it very hard to interview themselves. But it wouldn’t be any harm to keep giving them the opportunity.
Thanks again.

As I said earlier, I think you can use a little help from the community. Whether asking on the forums, or somewhere else on a dedicated place, I think users will be willing to learn about the author they know closer to you and ask their fellow author what they are eager to know about him (staff isn’t that well informed about every single author, as pointed by you ). - Boris
Boris, I think you have a great idea. Involving the community won’t add a lot of time to my end, and you guys know each other quite well, so you’ll be able to ask relevant and interesting questions.
The next interview will be GraphicRiver author Paul Sandilands (BcreativeStudio). I just added a new thread on the GraphicRiver forum asking the community for questions. I’ll send Paul over to answer them.
We’ll see how it goes. I’m expecting good things!
