If money is no object:
Hire one of the best Wordpress Developers/3D Designers/Video Producer/etc., etc. and buy their time.
Learn everything you want, just pay for it.
Money is no matter.Come to California and I will teach you how to use Photoshop.
Well, money is a thing. What I want to do is get a scholarship in an university, so therefore, money will not be a problem.
Did you study arts? And where? What I want to do is learn everything I can from the internet (and classes). I am very self-taught, and I think I already have some good and vast knowledge. But here in Mexico, a degree is very important. Although the chance to get a job in the arts is most reflected in a portfolio, I think here, we emphasise more the title of a person. If I continue all my education online, alone, etc, what should I study? Or should I study some arts here in Mexico (where they are not as developed as in USA). And as I said before, in Mexico to have a degree is a must.
Thank you very much, and thank you for the invitation as well!
i once read this article about going to Art School. its a sad truth.
As I said in my first post, imagine money doesn’t matter. I cannot fully pay for an art university, but I can get a scholarship (hopefully a full scholarship). The article you sent me is very interesting, and very helpful. Thank you!
doru saidI don’t know exactly what type of job I’ll be doing. My brother says that I shouldn’t worry too much about that, that it will come. Do you know what I mean? Anyway, I want to work in things such as: mascot design, web design, and most of all, illustration for things (web pages, books, etc).
what you want to do after you study at this hypothetical school? What type of job?
While i don’t live in that part of the world; I would recommend getting a few dvds and/or a course online with Gnomon School as you will be able to really hit it off in any of the creative fields you might choose. They also got classrooms in California if you want to go personally there.
Miami international design university and New York film academy are also well recommended. And/or you can go back to Canada to study in Vancouver Film School which from my understanding is one of the best schools along side with Gnomon Studios.Hope it helps.
Que tal Luis,
I have been browsing the sites you gave me, but before anything else, thanks very much for the answer, it is very appreciated. I have some things to say. I forgot to mention that what I look most of all is digital arts emphasis in illustration, not emphasis in video, film, motion, etc. So these universities do not apply much to me, although, some of them have courses of digital painting and related things. Lastly, Gnomon School looks very good; although they are very expensive.
Gracias de nuevo!
Hi everyone! My name is Santiago, and I am in eleventh grade. Although my badge says I live in Canada, I actually live in Mexico (I lived in Canada for only one year, but I haven’t changed my user information, hehe sorry for the misled). Well, first of all, happy new year to everyone! So, like the subject of this thread says, I would want to know your experience and opinion about this matter. Where should I study? I want to study digital arts, but in Mexico, this field is not very developed. Therefore, my best option is to go study abroad. The problem I have now is that, I have no idea where to look up for the best universities! And like I said before, this field is not very developed in Mexico, so I don’t know any one that can help me choose an university that has this career. So that is why I have came to you: where to study digital arts? My best, and only option so far, is Santa Fe University of Arts and Design in New Mexico. Lastly, imagine that the money is not a problem.
Thanks in advance! Santiago
[Photodune] Your portfolio has been submitted. This was 11 days ago. In the email they sent me, it says that it would only take about 3-5 days to get reviewed. Is this normal? Or maybe is it because PhotoDune has many people trying to get in? Should I contact Envato Support? Or am I exaggerating?
Thank you in advance
Hello creative people!
I have been looking for cameras that will supply my needs. But there are so many cameras out there! So now I’m here to find some help from experienced photographers / designers.
Ok, so I’m looking for a camera DSLR. I don’t know the difference between a Canon or Nikon, though I know they are the best brands in the market.
I need good resolution (not the best, but not the lowest), I need a camera that can record in HD and my budget is around $500 USD (is that enough?).
The other day in my school I borrowed a Nikon D5100, and it was practically what I needed. But I’m pretty unsure if it’s the best option.
What do you think will be the best camera for me?
Well, I hope I have made myself clear. Sorry for my English, not my first language
Thanks in advance,
So I was wondering, what do YOU think about the iPad Mini? When I first heard about this, I thought it was really stupid to buy one (just a smaller iPad). But now that I think about it, I would buy one. Why? Because it’s cheaper, lighter and I’ve always wanted a Kindle, iPad, or something to read. And know that an iPad is cheaper and lighter I am thinking to buy one.
But you tell me, what do you think?
—Sorry about my English, is not my first language.
I prefer de first one. Why? Looks more… Powerful. Hope this helps you.
In Illustrator instead of using pen tool, draw straight line between necessary points and use reshape tool to make bends. In fact this process was so flexible in Flash than Illustrator to draw perfect shapes in faster manner. May be you need to set custom keyboard shortcut so that you can switch between line tool and reshape tool easily.
Wow! I never thought of that, I will try this and also the other way JRChild and Joiaco told me. Just one question, by “straight line” what do you mean? The Line Tool?
