For now I dedicate a track in Reason to trigger the watermark while the song is playing which has the added benefit of looping in time with the track.

I was working on a track in Reason this week and I needed a simple way to get the watermark to loop through the preview track. I made this little Combinator patch to get it happening and thought I would share with all the other Reason users here:

It’s dead simple. The sample is triggered in Redrum. Don’t like where the watermark loops? Change the pattern. Mute the track when rendering your final file, leave it on when preparing your preview.

I like the idea, myself.

Mind you, I’m a total newbie (first post), and I haven’t built up much of a portfolio yet, but I think we should always be looking for new ways to get the word out.

The hard part will be knowing where to draw the line without making people feel excluded by the cool kids and all that high school nonsense.
