Build things you want and will use and you’ll enjoy it and learn tons doing it.

+1 That what will keep you going.

Find some good books and video tutorials online – Lynda.com, CodeSchool etc. and use them to build your ideas.

I would redesign a Contact section. How about adding a background with yoga activities?

I really like the combination of fonts you used. I think the serif on headlines really suits the topic – education.

I would add more pages though and a hover state to buttons :) Overall, a very good design.

I quite like it. Nice work!

What I noticed though – the posts have illegible typography and “Load More” text is not centered in a button. Check little things like that, this will make all the difference.

I like the image animations also, but they seem to be overused on TF. Maybe try something different like a fly-out?

Too much red, tires the eye quickly. Red + black not the best combination either.

Looks great! But, if that got rejected what others can expect? :) The quality bar has risen even higher :)
Really? I do not see this “highest” level on accepted items .. Many of them are even very low quality …

I was wondering about that too… How come other themes pass and this one didn’t? It’s quite unique in my eyes.

My suggestion:

I think the space between header and subheader in “The team” and “This is what we do” sections is a bit much, try making it smaller.

Navigation – smaller font size + all caps.

Portfolio – “Click to open” text didn’t resonate with me, it’s like an excessory cognitive overload. Makes you think – Should I click on it? Why is there a note?

Overall, really nice style! Good luck with it!

I would have the body copy font changed to something else with lower x-height.

Animations on menu is a bit rough.

I don’t like animation for the images – too much.

Work on your typography at About section and visual hierarchy at Elements section.

Overall – nice template, I like the Montserrat font choice and details!

You can write HTML5 and CSS3 without errors and you should. If code validates it will not break in IE and you will certainly avoid many cross-browser issues.
