I am sure exljbris and the league of movable type are totally free and licensed for you to use on dafont they vary. Oh and on exljbris some you have to pay for but I think he also has a section of free fonts which most of them are.

Yea like Raincutter said check for sure it is a good practice to keep.

Have fun hope this helps

Yeah, right man. I think I looked at both exljbris and the league sometime ago but couldn’t remember if they offered free fonts or what and now, I was too lazy to do that again. And anyways, everytime I type exjlbris I have to look at the word written by you to make sure it’s spelt correct. eh! I just proclaimed how lame I am! XD Have fun!

Thanks for the info. But I think I’m not gonna get licensed fonts,I don’t wanna deal with their licensing process and etc.

no problem and as I said, you shall take a look into font squirrel because they have all the free for commercial use fonts for download, so that you won’t have to go through the hassle of reading each and every license. Good luck.

Thanks a lot dude, these are awesome resources! And you sure all these are free-to-use ?

Not all the fonts are really free. You must always read the license that comes with the font regarding their use in commercial projects. Though 99% of fonts on font squirrel are free for commercial use. dafont has a mix of shareware and freeware but mostly are shareware so before using anything in commercial projects, do read the license agreement. Smashing magazine also continuously make list of free for commercial use fonts.

It’s just a random question which popped out of my mind so I’d like to ask all of you authors who have now spent sometime here and earning a good amount if your sales has went down recently? I mean I saw some really beautiful designs on the frontpage though I don’t see the same amount of sales for them which I saw for similar items a few weeks ago. I may be wrong. Would like to know your opinion.

I saw your item lately and it was really nice. But as arik said, commercial fonts cannot be modified to resell. Regarding creating the font, you can use fontographer or fontlab but beware, it’s really lengthy process because you’ll have to create every character – some of which you may not even aware of but which some typesetters needs. Another thing is that font creating softwares are not really cheap. I have fontlab studio which costed me around $649 but anyways, it’s worth it. Lastly, before buying anything, you may want to get alot of training for creating fonts, like learning about kernings and side-bearings etc. so be sure to learn about it if you haven’t already.

I think what you can do is include a jpg with all the gradients and your effects as well as a labeled PSD .

I too would like to create an abstract concept, maybe something called ‘Love’ or ‘Well-being’

What makes me laugh the most is that the creator of this thread didn’t even bother coming back to explain/defend/apologize for their actions.

In other news, I want a Pony.

What’s more amusing is that we’re STILL abusing this thread.

All fun aside, in 20 years time you’ll be able to tell that to your computer and he will create a design for you…

...imagine the days where you go “I want you to create me a micro blogging app like twitter”

processing, DONE .
now thats a thing…i will be happy if my computer can process orders like “One Espresso Please” :)
Then there would be a new generation of errors. MSHTTP Error 2187564: No Espresso Found! Cancel, Ignore, Retry!
Why is that? There are some constructive ideas here

I just gave an idea to Mr. GATES for his next generation errors. Once he use it, I may even sue him and get healthy amount of compensations! I would never want these proofs to get locked or deleted. XD
