I had started another thread about supporting customization through Microlancer but someone wrote that the Envato commission on it is 50%!! Is that true? if it is then it is way too high for a service. While it is OK for selling products where we sell multiple copies most other freelance sites charge < 10%
Never really looked into it enough. That’s a ridiculous commission. Envato holds such a stronghold over this sort of thing that it’s impossible for anyone to break away.
With the pushing of microlancer as of late I thought I’d add in some feedback of what I think would be a very good implementation.
On CodeCanyon for example if someone purchases a WordPress plugin it then pops up with a little button (providing the author wants it) to link to the microlancer site which allow the user to then hire out the content creator to then install it onto their site for example.
This would create extra revenue for content creators and also encourage more people to purchase as installing plugins will be more simple.
What you reckon?
I agree with this do think that Microlancer being advertised is slightly contradiction of the main point of the marketplace of do it yourself.
This is a fantastic idea.
It particularly annoys me when they hold you at ransom with votes as well.
Could someone walk me through this?
Is there an example code I could use to place in a stylesheet and javascript file into the <head>? Do I place this on the plugins output or administration page. Quite stuck.
Cheers
My little beauty!
The best one for me is when a customer purchased one of my Joomla extensions and they asked ‘What’s Joomla?’.
Good spot didn’t see that one. I scrolled down the first page of all marketplaces and it didn’t come up. Apologies for double post.
All of the websites are bringing up an alert from AVAST. I’ve put a screenshot in this post. Probably a false positive but thought I’d post in case other customers were getting this error and may be deterred from purchasing items.
