Sorry to be the party pooper, but how’d you feel knowing that your music is being used in an extremely well-selling large-scale project that everybody know and all you get is the lousy $35? They even don’t have to credit you.
Well, I think all of us are aware of this risk when we get into royalty-free music business. But think of it the other way… your music could have thousands of downloads, and be used into loads of different projects. I like the second part more
Hi. Recently one of my compositions was bought with extended license for the first time since I’m on AudioJungle. And when I saw that, I instantly had the best feeling since joining AJ. It’s really nice, and it keeps me motivated to do even more. What the heck, I wanna upload non-stop now :))
Actually, theoretically anyone can rise to the top 20-30 authors in less than one year. Pinkzebra did it very well. You just need a lot of good compositions uploaded frequently, and nothing else. He is currently ranked #6 and gaining ground fast, and he’s been around now for less than 2 years.
Is the rank affect sales? I don’t think so. It’s just fun for us. We can have paw ranks, star ranks etc. but I doubt if any buyer will take a look at it. IMHO there’s no need to create rules and treat this like competition .
I don’t think that having an extra filter means having an extra rule… Anyway, I just wanted to find out what others think about this idea, that’s all. Thanks for your opinion.
blindholm saidAlmost everyone. But still, there are the 4 star authors, some 3 star authors and the unrated authors. All these can separate the author with 10.000 sales from the one with 10 sales (both 5 star rated) by 60-70 pages or more in the Top Authors rankings.
Well, no they wouldn’t, because almost everyone has 5 stars. Just check the list and you’ll see.
Hi Basically, thats a good idea! But: As much i read, AJ is probably gonna change the rating system anyway, because every buyer can listen and even download the preview file before he buys it and will not buy something else than he already has, except of the watermark. So, why should people rate it: When they like it, they buy it. Buy some authors say, that they had 1-star Ratings from buyers, which really makes no sense at all! Why 1 star, when they liked and bought it ?... So, if they Change the Rating System, the probably not are gonna Change that filter. Check this out: http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/why-1-star-rating/28841?page=1
Hello. I read the one star rating thread. And yes, it’s strange that a buyer gives a poor rating to the file he just bought. Still, there might be a reason for why this happens from time to time: maybe after purchasing the file the buyer discovers something wrong with the original audio file, the one without the AudioJungle watermark. Just maybe, I don’t know Anyway thanks for the information
