This. Is. Awesome. Thank you!!
I’d definitely be curious to see what the official rules are on this. I would think that cutting out the AJ watermark would be a violation of policy (and an ethically questionable decision).
Unless, of course, the VH author purchased your track… Then, I would think they could do what they like with the track within the confines of the license…
But if they’re using it for free, I feel like it needs to remain “as-is”.
My 2.3 cents..
Stormdrum 2 (and Pro) from EWQL have a TON of great electro\experimental percussion samples that can be made into some killer original perc. lines as well.
I use Heavyocity too, but I like to mix\match libraries from different vendors to add another layer of character when appropriate.

No.. It’s horrible.. Wretched.. No one (other than me) should buy it…
NI just Tweeted about their official release of Komplete 9 – coming March 27. I doubt I’ll upgrade from my Komplete 8 Ultimate though, as I already have most of the products it K9 comes with. Doesn’t look to me like there’s any real upgrade—just repackaging the products with a few new ones. Even Kontakt 5 is staying around for this version.
Either way, when I saw NI’s tweet, I remembered this forum thread and thought you might like an update.
This is fantastic information! Thank you for posting!
Haha… I got the same thing. I didn’t bother with it… And shoot! I thought I was special
Go for the “Ultimate” version. WELL worth the upgrade. Plus, it comes on a handy-dandy USB hard drive that makes installation quick and easy.
Hmm.. I never considered the voltage drop. Mine gets confused easily. I’ll be working on a project in my sequencer, and flipping back and forth between Facebook, AJ, YouTube and other sites when I need to give my ears a rest for a moment… Sometimes, it continues to work fine. Sometimes, it stops being recognized by my software – so I’ve got to reboot my system. It’s not a HUGE deal, but it is a big inconvenience.. I wish I knew directly how to re-create the crash, so I could figure out a work-around.
Are you powered via the AC cable, or are you going off of USB? If it’s USB, have added any hardware lately that might be upsetting your power supply? Computers can only handle so much hardware before they need an upgraded power supply.
