Today I just reached 1000 sales… I know its not much and there were many that got there before me and even faster. But it is milestones like this that motivates me to work harder everyday. I’ve got the same i7 920 processor with a 240gb ssd too. I was thinking about upgrading my system few weeks ago but i was confused by new processor specs too.
In the end i’ve decided to upgrade the Ram only, from 8 to 24gb.
Belive me, After Effects just became a whole lot faster!
Before with 8bg i wasn’t able to take advantage of all the processor power. In AE having a lot of ram avaiable really matters a lot!

That’s great to hear! I’ll give that a try… although can’t upgrade all the way to 24gb, since I have a faulty Ram slot… but it will go up to 16gb… should see some change I think

Hi guys, thanks a lot for all the replies I didn’t know the 4th Generation is around the corner… I’m in not a huge hurry, so I may wait for that. I really wanted to know if it really improved in performance and speed, and according to your posts it seems like there was a considerable improvement.
