I completely agree I changed to SSD around 3 years ago I think and it has been one of the major improvements in performance.
I was thinking to try out raid 0 with 2 500gb SSDs, it should double the speed. What do you think, any one has experience with this? I heard a lot of good chat about it.
Hi guys, from time to time I see videohive templates being used by popular agencies, commercials and even films, but most of the times the use and the final clients are left unknown. I’m opening this thread to post links to popular works that have been done using work from this marketplace.
Feel free to post your findings, it would be cool to see where our hard work end up showing, and I’m sure it’s a sense of pride for the authors!
Such a great story! I loved reading it. Congratulations and keep it up!
Vintage, Glitch and Minimal seem to be the trend nowadays, you can see them thrown around everywhere.
Although I think this is more related to the genre of items rather then names. Most authors like to follow trends (like the recent title pack trend, vintage templates, and more). So inevitably they have to name their items similar to the popular items, cause that is the best way they can be explained.
I want to provide much greater sized packages with Original R3D Raw files that I film, rather than recompress the content.
By the way, I think it would be great if VideoHive will have a section for StockFootage where people could buy files in RAW format. Yes, there must be a more higher price, than now, but this niche in the world of stock-footage that VideoHive needs to fill. 4K Resolution gains momentum, many DSLR cameras can shoot in Raw format (now not Red One only). Also, I think, those who will buy stock footage in RAW format, will buy an extended license more often than regular license. But I’m not sure how soon this section will be here, even if the other stock footage markets will start to fill this niche already today.
I completely agree with this. I tend to stay away from using stock footage in my work directly because of this. I want complete flexibility in post production and right now normal stock doesn’t offer that, thus having to shoot my own media, even if something similar already exists.
I think this section would be very useful to the professional market, and I won’t mind to pay an extra fee for the added usability.
I tagged your post for staff reply, maybe they can have a look at it, as I think this can be very beneficial to the market

Hi this thread is related to the file size limit and not upload rejections, your post is a bit off topic. That said i really like your project and it looks great in my opinion. Most probably it’s rejection is due to it being submitted in a category with loads of similar projects, so you have alot of competition and you can only get accepted by bringing something new to the table.
On topic: I think its actually time for the file limit to be broken again. We’re moving in the 4K and huge retina resolution era and 1gb will simply not be enough, even for simple projects. It’s the way to move forward. I had this problem multiple times especially when uploading in 4k.
My latest was that when uploading my 4K muzzle flash pack. It basically had 100 elements in 4K and it was really difficult to compress everything to a gb. When talking to support they suggested to divide it in multiple projects, but that would remove the scope of the pack. The only solution was to cut some seconds from each element, thus ended sacrificing the quality.
Woow, thank you for sharing this! Its really unique and inspiring piece of work, its amazing how captivating it is. Really well planned.
Mac??? Just build a Windows PC!
On a non sarcastic tone. It looks really promising, I’m sure the content looks better then ever on the 5K screen. It is a bit pricey for the specs, but in reality a single screen of that quality will cost 1 to 2k alone, so if you ask me it’s kind of a bargain.
I’m still holding a bit off due to hardware limitations, since I would like something a bit more powerful if I’m going to invest that much in a workstation. I use Maya, E3D and AE most of the time, and some tasks can be really demanding. Was also looking at the LG 34UC97, to pair it up with my current workstation, instead of investing in a completely new machine. Although I really like the fluidity and performance of iOS so I think if you have the money, and were looking to upgrade for something that is flawless (or almost) to work with, this should be a breeze.
A tip would be to go for the highest specs model though, since that beast of a screen would need some power to run it without any stalls. You can find more on this here: http://www.theverge.com/2014/10/27/7068363/apple-imac-with-retina-5k-display-review
