Been a pretty good month for me so far. However, the next 2 weeks will likely be pretty sparse. Prepare yourself. The Christmas/New Years drop off is almost upon us!
I just made the horrible mistake of looking at reviews for Yosemite again and most people are saying that it is a RAM/cpu hog and everything is running slower than ever. Is there anything I should do before I update to ensure that Logic X and Yosemite will run smoothly when I upgrade?
I’m so glad to know that you guys can relate! haha It also eases my mind that you both have been having success with Logic X under Yosemite. Its always hard to finally take the plunge and update everything. I will keep the 32 bit/64 bit situation in mind as I upgrade to Yosemite. If you can think of any other big changes with upgrading to Yosemite, I would love to know! I’m really grateful for the feedback!
I upgraded to Yosemite from Mountain Lion about 30 days ago and so far all is well. My most frequently used plugins seem to work fine. (Ozone 5 & 6, Kontakt, Waves Bundle, etc.) I may not be the person to ask about CPU spikes as I have an iMac 3.2Ghz w/32 gigs of RAM so it seems to run just fine.
Alright cool, yeah I’m basically running mostly Kontakt Libraries and East West stuff along with Ozone 6, sylenth 1 and zebra. I have an intel mac Quad Core 3.0 ghz with 12 gb RAM. Should that be enough to run Logic X on Yosemite smoothly ya think? I’m so nervous haha
Hey Audiojunglers, I’m looking to update my setup in January. I’m currently running Snow Leopard with Logic 9. I held off as long as I could, but its now time to update and start fresh. I’m going to be purchasing Logic X. However, I’m nervous about running Logic X with Yosemite OSX. I have heard so many horror stories about cpu spikes and plug ins not working! I have lots of plugins and instruments that need to run smoothly! What has been your experience?
Also, note that your records show here that you tried to update it 3 hours ago, but because you didn’t make any item update whatsoever, the system treated your Note to Reviewer as an Automatic Update only, which does not get queued and does not get seen by review team. You need to make sure, if updating to fix for any price glitch, that you at least attach only the preview, or make at least one title or tag edit, so the review team can actually read your note to them. Thanks
Thanks a lot for your help and for fixing the price! I will be sure to remember your advice in the future if this happens again Take Care!
Hello guys, I recently added a longer version of my song “Christmas”, but the price has not changed to $18. It is still at $11. Anybody else have an issue like this?
Here are my new Christmas tracks:
