Hmmm, I’ve had hundreds of clickthroughs, but unfortunately it seems the conversion rate is VERY low :-( So not much luck there…. Stiil I keep banging referral links on everything I do, maybe one day…...... LOL

I use cyberlink powerdirector 9, it’s available as a trial and isn’t that expensive if you want to purchase. It also has a handy upload to YouTube function, and if you have a twitter account connected to your YouTube page it automatically tweets that you just uploaded a new Video! Hardly any work involved at all….

At the moment, Cubase 5. But I also use reason 5 and Sonar X1, depending on what I’m writing.

Okay so I have a you tube channel, a blog, a twitter page and a FB page, so my next job is to liaise with videohive authors. My problem is, what the hell do you say to them, “I like your videos, I have some music which may suit some of them? I give you permission to use my preview tracks in your work?” Searching around videohive I have yet to come across an author who hasn’t got music on their stuff. :-(
I get the feeling that some audiojungle authors come off desperate to them sometimes. Maybe its better to just create good music and hope one day you get asked to collaborate. Read This: http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/videohive-dont-want-to-see-audiojungle-authors-at-their-forum/63245 Tim makes a good point on his post.

He does indeed. The last thing I want to do is annoy someone or come across as desperate to VH authors. I’m not in the begging game. My music either stands up on it’s own merit or it doesn’t. The reality is, to sell, people have to know about you and I’m doing all I can at the moment to self promote, so for me that’s good enough.

I have Sampletank, Tracks3, and Amplitube, I have to say though I hardly ever use Sampletank, as the sounds seem “old” and dated somehow, maybe just me or the fact I have Kontakt 5 and it’s stuffed full of NI stuff. The thing I use the most though is Tracks 3, I love the quality of their vst’s and the GUI ’s. As for Amplitube, I much prefer Guitar Rig 5. But when it comes to money, sheesh, I’m still sweating from buying all that stuff LOL :-) Like anything it’s about what you can afford…

Just checked the page out and it’s from Georgia, Europe. Translated the page with Google translate and it seems to be some kind of free Internet TV company. Cheeky little so and so’s. We need to find the author ASAP .

So now I have reason 5.0, Cubase 5.0 and yesterday I purchased Sonar X1 producer. It was either that or upgrade to Cubase 6. While I like Cubase, I have some old VST plug-ins such as hypersonic and virtual bassist, neither of which work in Cubase causing it to crash, plus I have the 32bit version which is pretty crappy considering I have a 6 core 64 bit machine and most of my plugs are 64 bit. So I bought Sonar. I must say I’m impressed, while the GUI is a bit more cluttered than Cubase, over 2 screens it’s okay and I’m finding my way around easily enough. What impresses more though is the FX that ship with Sonar especially the percussion channel strip, which makes a great job of tidying up and tightening drums. I’d like to know if anyone else uses Sonar and what they think of it?

I’ve been looking into Re-wiring Reason into Cubase. My only concern with that is I have most of the top synths, Nexus-Alchemy-Sylenth, and some great drum plug-ins, am I not just relegating Reason into being just another plugin synth, or is there much more to it, am I missing something. People who have Reason seem to love it. Thanks for the comments though, it’s nice to hear from folks who are using it regularly.
