Hey guys. As with the previous thread this thread has once again gone down the path of speculation and false accusations. I realize there are some passionate views on this subject but, we just can’t have this on the forums.
I believe everyone has said their bit and we have certainly heard your feedback. Let’s leave it at this for now as I feel like we’re spinning around in circles at this point. Please do not open any further threads about this subject as they will be disabled. Thanks!
Hey everyone. We’re going to lock this thread down now as we think its purpose has been accomplished. Please be mindful that there is a difference between discussing and questioning Envato’s policies and calling into question the integrity of our authors. We never want the forums to be used as a platform for personal attacks and we believe we covered the discussion about the legitimacy of these purchases already.
Also, we wanted to touch on why some threads were removed. While some comments were removed because they were way off-topic, other posts went against our Community Terms. All our moderation is done in line with our Community Guidelines. You are welcome to contact me if you have any concerns, but we will not debate our moderation decisions in the forums.
We will continue to remove off-topic, personal attacks and posts that are not in line with our guidelines. There is really no need for us to do any of this type of moderation if we can all be aware of these basic guidelines. Thanks!
Heya guys. Please do not call out items, users or staff on the forums. As per our Community Guidelines:
Please respect your fellow users, staff, and moderators. We are all part of a community and you are expected to treat all users in a professional and respectful manner.
I don’t want to have to lock down this thread, but we cannot be slinging accusations around. As already mentioned in this thread – Envato negotiates all bulk purchases and ensures guidelines are met (e.g., ensuring the buyer is a genuine third party, is the purchaser of the licenses and has purchased a copy for each end user). And while we strongly believe in supporting and upholding a fair and level playing field, we also want to accommodate our buyers’ needs which includes different factors that impact when and how purchases are made.
Hello and thanks for the feedback
Download issues can certainly be a pain in the butt and a lot of times they’re downright impossible to diagnose. I use a satellite connection and sometimes it must just be the way the wind is blowing whether I’ll be able to pull up a site or not. There’s no rhyme or reason to it and if I phone in about I know there’s probably nothing that can be done about it because it’s just so random. So I just switch to a mobile phone connection and move on
I’m also sorry that you didn’t feel like you were being heard. With the amount of tickets that flood in everyday, our Help Team has to sometimes rely on pre-written snippets that help direct a person through the most common first steps. Unfortunately, when you’re dealing with an advanced troubleshooter such as yourself, the snippet may come off as a bit condescending. That’s certainly not our intention and we’re sorry it came across that way.
I believe we serve our downloads via Amazon web servers, and while they are typically fast and reliable, I’m sure they have their issues from time to time as you found out.
