We had this conversation before, and in the end it petered out that they didn’t want marketplaces to turn into job boards.
The new version is very good, although I preferred the lighter buttons/headers/links etc.

So unique, love it!
I actually kinda like that there’s no commenting on Creattica, it makes a refreshing change. Having hundreds of people’s comments that sway back and forth (“This is great!” followed by “This sucks!”) is extra, unnecessary noise to me. After all, good design is largely about taking away everything that is not needed, so it seems perfect that Creattica, as a design inspiration site, practices what it preaches.I’m fond of the way Creattica employs a clean and effective compromise to commenting by showing the # of times a design has been favorited: A great way to indicate what is popular and well received, and it is more easily digested than 300 varying comments.
But if you had a checkbox, you wouldn’t have to have comments on, but you’d have a choice
Maybe do the same kinda effect with the ‘Post author’ wrap-over but add the date in there too, since the meta already states the post author?
Thanks Keith, I’ll keep that in mind… Surely someone else has some ideas as to different ways to layout the post meta information at the top of each post… no?
What about making the ‘13’ wrap around go the whole width of the image, and you could put the meta information in there?

No offense but this thread itself is an epic fail with “0” response![]()
Actually your comment is an epic fail because now the thread has 2 responses
Hey Josh,
Looks pretty good. There’s nothing too out of the ordinary in the actual layout, but I would say don’t overdo the ‘wrap-around’ effect
