Not the best month ever But I got to that 100 sales step
Well guys…my instrument is quite a common one but it means the world to me for 12 years now. It’s the violin that has been with me on 4 continents, playing from concert halls to pubs and from high luxurious places to villages, ghettos or even prisons.
It is a 1924 (yup she’s turning 90 this year ol’ granny) Guarnieri copy, made in Prague. God knows through how many hands it has been. All I know is that in 1969 it was belonging to a classical musician in Paris and was donated to a Romanian Gypsy virtuoso (Ion Dragoi) which during those times was traveling all over the world with his music. Later it came back to Romania where, Dragoi hand it over to a very promising young musician from his family, which eventually turned to gamble and alcohol. Another member of the family managed to rescue it…a little bit too late, because the violin wasn’t so much cared about, it was kept in bad conditions and repaired in even worse ones. It has two small wooden nails in the neck and traces of how it was hit with the bow in the back, during those fiery weddings and parties in the villages. Anyways, my father managed to buy it and recondition it properly for quite a good price.
It is a wonderful balanced instrument, with beautiful warm low tones and brilliant clean higher ones. You can hear it in some of my tracks Might sound weird but I take the opportunity to thank ’’her’’ for everything she brought and for helping me a great deal in life. Tried a lot of violins but still haven’t found one that matches her sound. Granny still has lots of stories to tell
They might be afraid that the music can be better then the actual footage and people might just turn off the image and listen to the soundtrack.
I met some people who were doing C movies (they were pretty good actually). And of course regarding music, they were telling me they mostly work with people who would do it for free and this way, get some publicity for their work as well…
But I guess, 17$ is totally close to free…so, why not go for it? Good question. Maybe they don’t know about how markets like work…I’ve heard from people which didn’t quite understand the licensing, got confused and just went for some other ways of procuring music. What other way? Contact a musician (or wannabe) which does it for free or quite cheap and signs you a paper giving you full rights
Ahh man thats sad news…Although I barely touch a guitar, I was inspired as a musician by Paco since early teenage times. A huge loss for everybody.
Rest in peace Paco!
Hey Orpheus! Thanks for your reply. I tried to contact 2 authors but no answer by now… I guess i have to look for more active people. do you happen to know what are the usual fees for such editing work?
Thanks once again!
I would need some AE Project Files for some presentations and stuff and I found some wonderful ones here. My problem is that I don’t have a clue how to edit them. I’m a total noob regarding this!
So, once I buy one or more items, how could I edit them by myself? I understand I need the AE CS4 or 5. Do I have to buy it? Is it possible to work with a demo version or something? I mean…I wouldn’t buy the whole thing just to make 3-4 projects…Thank you very much for your help guys and keep up the great work!
Good luck with sales!
Yeah totally recommend the Forest Kingdom Ethereal Voice…such a real feel to it and you can easily create your melodies with it. Nice one Graham! Here’s my Forest Kingdom stuff (Choir is from Olympus, Duduk from Desert Winds) :http://audiojungle.net/item/hope-of-an-angel/5566417 Too bad it only sold once
First of all, thanks Kurly and Adrien for your fast replies.
Regarding what Waderman and Adam are saying…I am quite happy with adding the watermark myself. Sometimes I have to adjust the volume of the watermark depending on the track. Also, it happens that I add it, lets say every 10 seconds as usual, but at some point I do it after the 9th or 11th second, just to prevent it from falling in the middle of a certain melody phrase.
I’ve heard somewhere ( some track from Tim M if I remember correctly ) a pretty cool AJ watermark, it had some effect on it and thats why I was asking. Also, I’m working on some tech-industrial tracks and was thinking to make the watermark somehow with the same flavor. But then again, this might make it easier for people to use the preview without attracting too much attention on the logo
Was wondering…is it allowed to edit the watermark? Put some effects on it or stuff like that? Or, can another watermark recorded by the author be used? ( with the same words ’’AudioJungle’’ or ’’ Envato’‘
